How is this any more explicit or pornographic than so many pieces which are considered classical masterpieces of art, and yet show full nudity, breasts and vaginas? If Manet and Hieronymus, among so many countless others, could paint full nudes, sometimes engaged in erotic acts, and have them considered high art, then this, a woman whose breasts and vagina are covered, certainly qualifies.
Remember, opinion is not fact, and while you are entitled to your opinion, so is everyone else entitled to theirs. The secret is respecting other's opinions even when the are diametrically opposed to your own. You don't like this? Fine. It breaks no rules of DA, and is enjoyed as art by many, and no one is forcing you to look at it.

It's not silly. It's how you feel. And that makes it valid and worthwhile. However, the opinion of others that this is art is just as valid. That's what makes opinions tricky... they're all right. The fact that you think I'm upset baffles me - why on earth would I be upset from a internet comment, that's basis is solely based on misconstrued opinion, not fact? The site is based on criticism when the poster ask for it. The model who paid for this shot loved it. In my book, the paying clients criticism is all that counts

The first and only thing you see flesh and you see cleavage. But what you failed to see is the light and the shadows created from that light, and with that, colour. You failed to see the subtle blur, the negative and positive space and overall symmetrical balance and eye flow, all of which make up composition. Then there is the model, because you see, every photograph of a person is a balance of give and take between model and photographer, in which you've completely missed the body language. you failed to see that playful little smile, the raised eyebrow, the playing with the hair. Notice not once did I get into the technical side of the photography, like Shutter speed, ISO, or aperture, because those are all technical skills honed like a sharp knife by the photographer. They are the equivalent to a paint brush. You see a photographer is a painter, they medium is light.
If you're going to give criticism, you must first learn how to criticize and receive it in return. Having an opinion is like a dick, just because you have one, doesn't mean you have to give it to everyone. But having the knowledge base to back up your opinion is beyond powerful.
If you can't be mature and open minded, why are you here? You need to learn about the Fig Leaf and what it means in art history. Would you tell Botticelli that he shouldn't have painted the Birth of Venus because it depicted nudity? Perversion starts and ends with the mind, mostly your own.

You weren't rude. When I was a much younger budding artist I too did not understand the difference between Naked and Nude, Porn and Art. My knowledge was limited, my mind was not open. I attributed the nude female form to that of Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler. As I studied Art and Art History I expanded my knowledge base and opened my mind to many new things. Just the same as Abstract painting. As a young artist I hated Abstract work but the more I learned the more I understood. I hope that you'll come to appreciate your stay here and open your mind to unlimited possibilities.
