My half of the art trade with . This is her irken OC, Jim, cleaning a gun. Ain't that sparkley?!She seemed kinda angry with me for being so slow, so I decided to drop my duties for the day on working on BS. I never forget art trades though Madelone, you have to understand that! Anyway I hope you like it [:
I tried to do a bit of Irken graffiti. If you can read that then.. well, I don't mean YOU, I just tried to mimic Irken thuggery

His expression is perfect for what he's doing. The pose and sitting position establish that even more. I like how he's sitting against a wall of graffiti. The gun is really cool too. It's very realistic. Guns look like water guns whenever I try to draw them. Did you use a reference for the gun?

Oh yes, and maybe a bit too maniacal for it too, that expression 
Aah, for the gun, I remembered the basics to drawing them. That is, the barrels are simply two tubes, one in front of the other. Then I drew a boxlike part for at the bottom of the tubes (where the bullets go I presume!) and then, an angular rectangle for the handle, which I'm afraid is the hardest part to get right! From then on, I added the bits and pieces for the details like the little sections on the bullet-holding-part (that shows how much I know about guns!) Then, as last minute, I remembered to draw the trigger.
That's how I draw things I'm unfamiliar with though. I draw with a reference once or twice, then test myself of endurance and see how I fair doing it on my own. It's how I learn I suppose! It worked for me when I started drawing IZ.
By the way, my VERY first attempt at drawing a gun was actually me using my friend's plastic yellow water gun as a reference!

Well, you certainly know your way around drawing them. I've never used a reference for drawing guns, but it'd probably be a good idea. I'm getting kinda' better at making them look more alien-like, but references are definitely good. I'm the same way with references, though I don't use them often. I had to use several for a chainsaw I drew once. Turned out pretty cool, but my brother pointed out that the person holding it would end up killing people from the way she was holding it. XD
Either way, it would've been much worse had I not used a reference.

His arms look amaaazzing! Seriously, they're so cool! =] Not to mention his sneakers and the gun, both things that I can't draw.

Hmm, well if you've noticed from my old works, I tend to draw shoes the same, like rounded like that. Now drawing feet.. gotta try that xD Thanks

The last letter on the wall is a "m", the one before it...probably an "a", but it could also be a "t"...but the first one?! No idea. I wanna knooowww!!!

A rather simple artwork of yours, which still does not lack awesomeness.
Eh...I know I say this every time, but your choice of colours is always fitting to the atmosphere, well, nearly always, here it is a quite calm scenery with lots of grey-and-blueish-tones.
I am only wondering about Jim using earth-polish, why didnΒ΄t you write that in Irkish, too?
The other point is the black rings around his eyes. They look...unfitting somehow, like someone has painted over the face, which quite sad. I would make them a little brighter and their upper line closer to the eyeΒ΄s edge.
I like the ground he is sitting on! ItΒ΄s simple, yet cool and fitting!^^

I try to make it suit, but you're right to believe I'm not perfect, because it's true. I fumble a lot with schemes, especially ones I'm not familiar with. This one was hard because at first is was cool and summery, and until I added the grungy city-like background it made it a bit weird, and I still don't like it.
Ahh gee, maybe I should have written it in Irken, but not everything on for example, Foodcourtia is written in Irken. It's a good point though, because if that was the case I should have put some english on the walls too P:

Well, the letters are just a detail, but all letters in one style would be more suitable...
Oh, I think you tried to since you put some effort in pictures of yours^^ But they still look too unconnected with the face...

Hmm, yes, perhaps it's because the tattoo is pure black? I never use pure black to colour anything except for Irken antennae. It may be just too dark and gaping like a black hole, with how dark it is, it puts a lot of attention on it, I can see, especially with the pale face. I see now where I went wrongs as for colour schemes.
Daah, I don't think it was crappy at all. It was a face that depicted the meaning of grotesque greediness and in a amusing way ironically likes cookies

It looks good, the only thing I see it that the knee of the top leg should been a little higher, because the leg is being lifted by the boot underneath it. Other than that you did a great job

I'm glad ya do! I'm not too familiar with drawing Irkens in human clothes, let alone anyone that's not wearing anything un-alieny so I wasn't sure how this would fair but I think I've got it to a point I like it ^^ My friend is a good help with stuff though (:
