Description
Means 'Underwater' in German. I thought I learnt it from a wall.A collaboration with *DeviantIrk
(I hope you're happy with the shade of green the fishman is NOW, you fussy thing!)
Finally completed - and before Blood Sport too!
Call this unusual from me, but I love colouring underwater scenes! The colours can be beautiful. Completely unintentional, but the Irken fish (courtesy of *DeviantIrk of course), had popped into perspective more than I thought it would! I love it! Also, first time colouring sand.. I wanted to try this.
(I'm sorry Grace, I tried to find references of Ariel's castle, I'm sorry it might not appear like what it really looks like, but I hope the castle looks ok.)

That Irken fish-face makes me laugh as look at it. Geeeeezus, it looks so dumb. Dumb as bread, as we Germans sometimes say. And you colorued it neatly, these eyes look too beautiful for a stupid-looking creature like this...

Although it's not in the focus I have to say I looooove the coralls. The colour and shading look absolutely wonderful and...I am in love with this colour.

They're fish, really, they're not supposed to be too intelligent looking. They're supposed to look nice.
See. If you made lineart of this fish, you'd think it'd look dumb: [link] It's still a pretty fish. You're fretting over your lineart. Lineart, unless shaded, is hard to think of as good at all.
Critique on my linearts? What for? I am heavily aided by a program setting!

Yes, the fish doesn't really look that dumb at all, really, I think fish like that are quite adorable. Not as much as.. THIS THING [link] They're sooooo cute to look at! I want to draw them now even! Maybe that could be my traditional piece.

It looks so cartoonish. But the concern here is that I'm quite confused on the emphasis of the art. I can't distinguish if the castle is miniature or located in a distance. Then also the fish creature. I can't distinguish if they are near the castle or they're just in front.

Well, I'm assuming that the castle is the distance, I wasn't' very sure of the original intents of the artist myself so I just coloured as she asked.
If you mean the fish creature as the biggest green one, I suppose he's supposed to be at a distance, closer to the coral field.
I think I know what could have been done with the castle, and that is to put a bluish overlay of some sort to determine distance in the water.. hmmm.

All the effects look so awesome! It looks really detailed. And very different from that Work in Progress thing. And the weird fish is now green I noticed.
I like how the fish-person's fins were coloured.
And the structure (is that what it's called?) of the whole picture is really good. I want to be able to do something like that. And the dolphin/shark looks pretty with all the colours you put on it. Same with the castle. And the glow looks awesome.
I like the WOOSH effect. Did you use the water tool or the blur tool?
And all the hand drawn scales make the picture look more realistic. And they are so small! It must have taken you a while to do all of them!

I changed the weird fish because it didn't look balanced in purple and he blended in a bit anyway.

Well.. yes, the structure more pertains to the way it was drawn, how it was placed together, etc.

Yes! XD Minus the bubbles on the fishes' movements in the water, there aren't any bubble brushes on that program, but everything else, pretty much! Thank you so much for thinking so!
