Here's a new short Comicstrip with our OCs Hawl and Claster.I wanted to give a feeling for their early relationship, when they started to be "teacher and student".
Hawl is very euphoric and willing to practise his skills with the sword but when he asked Claster to train him to beat Vermillion he never thought of these training methods. Well, he's good with the sword but he never really had to train hard and Claster is a very strict teacher, I can tell. So, use it or lose it.
Like most young people Hawl thinks he allready knows everything better, and sometimes he has to be reminded that he's not. Well, it can bring you down when someone is chilling while you work hard XD Claster wants to help Hawl but he isn't the one who plan to beat one of the strongest men ever.

Edit: Mids asked me to fix Claster's inner mouth on panel four a bit. And I added a bit more blush on Sporty-Hawl's face.

I love seeing everyday moments, according to me they are the best to understand the characters' personnalities. And you can easily tell hom much motivated Hawl is! He's so tender, a bit confused but still acually strong

Thank you, thank you, Nike!! I am so glad you enjoy it. I also love these everyday moments to learn more about characters. It's just a bit difficult to decide for good scenes to show personality in just some panels. Maybe Claster seems cruel (he sure can be mean!), but I know he just wants the best for Hawl. He would never have a chance against a man like Vermillion without hard, tough training. Claster isn't always enjoying this, but here I chose a relaxed swordmaster to end the page a bit funny
Maybe next comic will include a bit more dramatic scene, depending on my motivation and daily drawing abilities *lol*

I agree with you, everyday scenes are funny but it's difficult to choose which ones you will draw.
And I was obviously joking about Claster, I love that guy!
Yay! Drrrrama! (I'm planning a minicomic of 3/4 pages from years, but I never come up to anything, so I'm satisfied when I read good minicomics by others, ahaha)

I'd love to see a new comic from you, always enjoy to learn more about other's characters I like. :3 *sigh* But I know, it needs a lot of motivation. Maybe just begin and try to sketch out the pages. If it turns out good you maybe get more motivation to finish the rest.

maybe Claster's not being lazy but this is all just a part of his brilliant training plan !!
When he just lazes around while Hawl has to work his ass off, Hawl will get angry and when he's angry he gets the strength to do more pushups...
...or then Claster just doesn't want to move his lazy old ass X'D

Well, well well, we could have hoped for something dirty with Hawl but I was certain it wouldn't be haha! I thought it would be some kind of punishment from the prison camp...I was only half wrong?
So many cute (blushing) Hawls! 
It's a nice comic which greatly tells about both of their personalities as well as their relationship :3

Yup yup, I usually need 2-3 days for a comic page, so it's normal for me. The linework is the most difficult part. After that, coloring and shadows are quite fast done. First I wanted to draw another, more dynamic scene with a bit city background, but then I decided to draw something more simple and easy.
I am happy when this scene shows a bit more from their personalities. :3 Claster wants to help Hawl, but the boy's boss-allures fucks him up sometimes.
Btw, blushing. Do you know the correct english word for getting a red face from sport? I wanted to wrote it into the description but I really have no idea.

Yeah, lines are the hardest. I'm also slower because a big portion of my artistic process seems to be to stare at lineart I either love or hate x) You're so efficient! And the things you said you struggle with, expressions, poses etc, always seems so on point! When the artwork is finished, the hardships are over and invisible x)
Claster's intentions are good founded, so he can be let to boss around a little. Especially with the young king
I know he's not "blushing", rather that's because he's working out, but my words fail me too. I don't know any other word for this kind of blushing though...perhaps redfaced (but that's not a "real" word). Still, I think it looks cute and is a quite realistic detail.

Yes sometimes things turn out good from the beginning but other things need endless fixes until I you are satisfied. Bah
I wonder if there is any word for blushing red workout faces haha. In Germany we sometimes say "Bombe" what means bomb. Ready to boom!
