My contribution for Mermay 2020
This was so much fun! I think I never drew a halfbody THAT fast, ahaha. Here you go with a silly little merman Hawl with some Disney vibes. He wants to have legs to conquer Erik's town. (Btw, Hawl can't sing, and he wouldn't do it! ahaha)
Important!!! For those who likes my art: I would like to mention that I am much more active on instagram now. My account-name is "Enisocs". Posting art on Deviantart really started to frustrate me. I get nearly no more faves (mostly from perverts with empty guestbooks...) and comments per picture, that's why I see no real sense in sharing my art. Feel free to check my insta out! I do understand your frustration with DeviantArt, I tried uploading my on Instagram for a while, but no one seemed to care there either so I gave up. If anything I got even less feedback But I think it's just me and my art. Also I don't feel like working on a follower base everywhere. I would still like to see your art here. Another thing about Insta is that DA feels very as and it's all artists so I don't feel weird giving a big rambling comment, but on Insta I feel kind of exposed.

Yeah insta has some flaws too but at least it feels like people are active there. I know the world is full of artists and it's one of the hardest things to catch attention. What not means my art is bad but I have to work on getting followers. Just DA feels so extreme dead like no one is using it anymore. I am really sad about it, because in my opinion it's still the prettiest artpage I know. Well, yeah, I hope you'll get more attention on your art too. Keep it up.

I do think the goodness of the of the art has a part to play. I'm not delusional enough to say I'm great. But maybe i'll upload there sometime still.

It's difficult to say what art is great and not. The perfect skills or the unique styles. But I think ut's important to enjoy art.

That is very true. I was just thinking today that I might upload on Insta after all, so I guess that shows I can't decide anything. I think another thing is that I love making small details and everything looks tiny on phones where people usually use Insta. Also it always either has to cut stuff off the image or I have to frame it. So yeah, putting art on Insta frustrates me.
But I agree. It is important to enjoy it. I mean that's like 80% of the reason I draw things.
