i used moonchilde fractal/nebula stock and used the lighten blend effect on it along with a little dodge and burn here and there

I liked Lyra from the beginning but she became a favourite of mine since the first chapters of TSK, when she tries to make scrambled eggs, burns it but she eats it with stubbornness. That character moment reminded me of myself

lyra and will made an excellent team. the only thing i didn't like about the final chapter was their conversation. pullman tried to make it too dramatic and forgot that his characters were a bunch of 12 year olds...

I cried though the last two chapters. Really.
Were they 12? I thought that Lyra way 13 and Will was 14. I don't know...
What I did not like at the end was how they sacrificed their love. During three books, all they did was to struggle against auhtority (as well as with The Authority in capitals). And at the end they act like some sheep. I mean, why did Xaphania not let them leaving one single window between their worlds? One small window would make no difference with the angels closing the Abyss and Lord Asriel's torn-up Aurora. Why weren't yra and Will fighting for their love instead of simply sacrificing their happiness and the promise of a happy future?

xaphania did allow them to leave ONLY ONE window open though, but Will and Lyra couldn't leave a window open between their worlds because they already made a promise to the dead that they would leave a window open for them so the dead could be let out and be freed to become part of everything in the universe! do you remember now?

I remember it. But still, leaving one moe window open... it would hardly make a difference. It was Lord Asriel's torn-up Aurora and the Magisterium's Lyra-DNA-bomb which did the utmost damage. I mean, these two events caused crated-sized shreds on the fabric of space-time. They were closed by the angels. Leaving one more small window open between Lyra's and Will's world would have made no difference in Dust flowing away as the big holes were sealed...

hmm i guess you're right. i read it a little while back so i can't remember xaphania's full argument as to why they weren't allowed to leave one open between their worlds. maybe it was just for dramatic effect.

Yeah, it was to make the story more "realistic" with not providing a happy end - as life does. But still, I'm a guy who was raised on Knight Rider and stuff where there was always a happy ending
