ugh, clearly a lot of people don't get Loki. Loki doesn't have "brotherly pain". In the comics, Loki is ruthless, one of Marvel's most evil villians. He is fueled by his arrogance, hatred for his brother, yes, pure hatred, and his thirst for power and rule. His own arrogance causes him to go from his own schemes, creating a downfall on his own part. Loki is evil, ruthless, and its annoying to see all these..."fangirls" with their *team Loki, aww so cute. To any comic book readers, doesn't it annoy you? There is NOTHING adorable about Loki, he is ruthless, cold, and a menace, and truely one of Marvel's greatest villians ever created. And My personal favorite right behind Thanos. Fustrating!!

You'd prob say the same thing about my love for Seimei...I love Loki in all the same ways as I love Seimei: Evil, ruthless, intelligent, cunning, but deep down, incredibly complex. What someone else commented is entirely true: A character who is nothing but "ruthless" is unrealistic. In this re-imagining, he has more depth and better reasons. It makes him likable. Likewise, Seimei is quite complex and has hidden reasons and emotional trauma (and psychological disorders) that causes him to act as he does.

Dude, in mythology they're not even brothers and Loki isn't evil. The comics are a re-imagening (sp?) of the mythology and the movies are, in turn, a re-imagening of the comics, possibly taking more from the mythology and giving Loki more depth than: "I want to rule the world and crush my brother, muahaha! What? Why? No reason, I'm just evil."
