-------It was a review day in scheduling, which is usually the slowest class ever, so I took my prismacolors with me and made sure that I made it obvious I was participating in the review. and I was still answering like half the questions. >.<
But I got something colored! Yay! (and the yay works for Venus's pose too!)

Haha yeah, I've got a few of those pics. Teachers never worked out I wasn't writing lecture notes since I was scribbling furiously

Ooooh, all my professors know. I have a tendency to sit no further back than the second row unless the room's really deep and it will be the third. I did the scribbles on the side of my notes for a while, and figured I might as well keep them in a better condition, so I just brought my sketchbook.
The university setting's a little more forgiving to start with, fortunately, but I do make sure that my grades back up that I actually am paying attention. XD
The only teacher I had who ever had a problem with it was a high school teacher who was a horrible teacher to start with, and treated us like we were in elementary school. Rather frustrating when you're already a senior in a freshman class.

I only had trouble with one tutor, as did the rest of my design class, and she got told to handle it. The 25 design students (out of 200 or so students) were taking her class as elective, and the department staff understood that our art and design took priority, even if it was just doodles
Strangely enough though, going through my notes, if I had only drawn a picture during a lecture, I could usually tell you more about that lecture subject, than if I had actually written notes!
