- Perish Song: A harrowing song that curses everyone who hears it, including Minami herself. The song fills minds with dark, intrusive thoughts until they eventually go mad and pass out from the shock.

A diva to the fullest extent of the word, every aspect of her is, as Minami herself would say, "FABULOUS MAX!" While she lives as luxurious as she possibly can, her history has kept her humble, and she likes to give back to the community as much as she receives. From gaudy parties to charity events, Minami makes sure everything she does is done up to 200%.

Her loud way of expressing herself and years in the spotlight make her seem otherworldly and hard to approach. She is very friendly, however, and loves meeting new people. Minami is protective of the many friends and fans she's made along the years, and has been known to give handouts or pull strings for most people who ask. Minami was raised in a single species clan that was tucked away from the rest of the world, a traditional, small group of worshipers that literally sang their praise to the heavens above. As the prodigal daughter of two Meloetta with the most beautiful Relic Songs anyone had ever had the privilege to hear, she was practically born on a pedestal and everyone expected only the best from her. She could sing before she could talk and most of her days started and ended with voice training. Minami was committed to delivering on everyone's expectations, on performing a song so amazing that the gods they sang for would sing back. This kind of mythic concerto was rare even in their highly devout group; her own parents had only been able to perform it once.

In Minami's clan the ultimate offering to the gods was their relic song. The song by itself wasn't much, a plain melody that had been passed down from the very first Meloetta. It was what it could be that made it so special. Each member of the clan was tasked with making their own lyrics to the melody, and the Relic Song was never the same depending on who sang it. It was a very personal song, and if crafted correctly it would project the singers heart into the listeners and take you into Grand Finale. Creating this unique song was considered your lifes work, and each member was to sing their version in front of the whole clan on their 13th birthday in a massive coming of age ceremony. For Minami, the ceremony was almost like a festival; the entire day was spent celebrating the wondrous event that was sure to take place and the stage was raised twice as high as usual, as close to the gods as they could get it.

Minami never stepped foot on it.

She ran. Her whole life was leading up to this moment, and all she could do was run in terror of what her village would do to her. Not for failing their expectations, but for not even being able to try. She had studied the art of singing to it's death, she read all the material there was to offer, she practiced bars and tunes to the point where any normal person would have lost their voice. All this singing she had trained herself to do was always by the book. Minami had never allowed herself to deviate, never learned how to sing from her heart. Never before had sang creatively, only correctly.

She did not have it in her to create her own Relic Song. That sort of thing couldn't be found in any scripture.

Minami ended up on the streets of Radiant Harbor. She was fortunate enough to be taken in by a kind Gardevoir family with twin daughters around her age. They assumed her as one of their species, and Minami never felt the need to correct them. If her identity was kept hidden, she could finally live a normal, peaceful life.

The family wasn't very well off to begin with, eventually losing their stable income and falling on hard times. Minami refused to sit idly by while her new family suffered and began singing on the street for extra coin. Nobody expected the incredible talent she had, nor did they expect how deeply moving and passionate her songs made them feel. Minami was made several offers for performances, and her local fame began to grow larger than the then 15 year old could handle. In an effort to help both herself and her family, she trained her sisters how to sing as well. The three of them debuted a year later as a group called "Mellow Melody Musume" and were a smash hit, their concerts bringing in entire villages worth of crowds. They traveled and toured the country, and while nobody could deny that the other two girls had talent Minami was always the center of attention, one of the greatest singers anyone had ever heard.

The passion she instilled in her fans wasn't something she could control, and it didn't always manifest itself in positive ways. At one of Triple M's concerts, a diehard fan began terrorizing the crowd, injuring several and threatening to come on to the stage and go after Minami's sisters. Panicked at the thought of losing everything she had worked for a second time, Minami did the only thing she knew how to do; she sang for him. She sang with all her will and tried to impose it on him, to get him to stop his savagery. The lyrics were borrowed from a song she had written with her sisters, the melody was something she vaguely remembered from her childhood. It was what felt right at the time, what felt true to her. And it was a massive success, her song not only reaching the man but the rest of the crowd - and herself.

Without realizing it, Minami had finally achieved Grand Finale. She had transformed into her Pirouette form mid song, ready to defend her family and fans. She did just that, and it was lights out for the criminal with one swift kick. Minami wasn't just a star, she had become a hero, and whoever didn't look up to her as a celebrity looked up to her now as a role model.

Shortly after this incident, MMM retired. The kirlia sisters were unable to go on knowing they could cause something like that to happen again. But for Minami, things were just getting started. Her identity as a Meloetta had been revealed, and she could not abandon her career now knowing how many more hearts she could touch with her newly found relic song. She wanted to do it not just for herself, but for everyone. Her solo career took off, and as years and years of concerts built up on themselves there wasn't a single household that didn't know her name. Minami Anayama had become both a prominent singer and a prominent fighter, effortlessly flipping the switch between her aria and pirouette forms as they were needed.

She had become as well known as some of the Leaders and Guardians of the region, so it didn't come as a surprise when she was offered a position as one. She graciously accepted on the sole condition that she would still be allowed to perform, as standing on stage had become just as important to her as protecting the peace.

While the meloetta of her clan are devout worshippers, they're very powerful in their own right. Their ability to control others minds and hearts with their songs is not to be underrestimated, and the strength they gain in pirouette form is worth being briefly rendered unable to sing. Being born within this century, Minami's abilities still have the potential to grow stronger as she develops them; an easy feat for someone with patience that has already stopped aging and has a long, long lifespan ahead of her.

Aria form is the default state of being for almost all meloetta. Gifted with heavenly voices and potent psychic powers, a meloetta can impose their will on their listeners hearts with ease. They are physically defenseless, however, especially against the deaf and the heartless.

Pirouette form is a special state that occurs after a meloetta brings out their inner powers by forcing their own will upon themselves with a very powerful, unique song. This transformation is referred to as Grand Finale and is very difficult to perform. Pirouette form gives a meloetta a surge of strength and raises their combat ability, but they must sacrifice their voice and are unable to speak for the duration. Maintaining this form is very straining on a meloetta, and its very rare to see someone powerful enough to switch between forms without at least a days rest in between.

- Occasionally "MMM" will make guest appearances to perform their old songs with her, and despite being inactive the group still has a following.
- Minami avoids tobacco and alcohol. Most people find this commitment to cleanliness admirable, but the actual reasons for it aren't as noble: smoking would ruin her voice, and she gets drunk VERY easily and is VERY embarrassing.
- She hasn't gone back to her actual home nor does she want to.
- Because of the way she fights, Minami can only use half of her moveset depending on her current form.
- Fans from her "MMM" days still call her "Mimi", a nickname they gave her back when she was smaller and cuter.
- Slightly lazy and uses her psychic powers to lift stuff instead of carrying it.
