This is a nice, clear informative illustration! Especially with all the elements like the Earth reference, the text box and the depiction of the submerged areas. The colour scheme works well too. I like the idea of this map and the idea of a Lake Qattara.

Currently they have about 70,000 sq km of agricultural land and 90 million inhabitants, which means yes, Egypt itself is a bit short of food.

Actually, it is an alternate history map, so I used only the elevation level data and some estimates, not academic sources.
