Description The one and only gigantic edestid (if there are new ones let's hope they're not named silly names like Johnsonodus or Smithodon) roaming a sunken carboniferous swamp filled with the trees which would eventually become the coal which gave the formations their name. They're about 20 feet. or 30. or 40. or 60, 70, 90, 100, depending on who you ask. Nobody really knows what's behind the business end of the teeth.
