In Mesoamerican mythology, the nahual or nagual is an animal that is considered protective spirit of each person.
According to some traditions, they say that every person at birth, already has an animal spirit, which is responsible to protect and guide. These spirits, called nahuales, usually appear only as an image which advises on dreams or with a certain affinity to the animal that we took as protected. A woman whose nahual was a mockingbird have a beautiful voice for singing.
But not everyone has a very slight contact: believed that witches and shamans of Mesoamerica center can create a very close bond with their nahuales, giving them an advantage that they know how to take advantage. The vision of the hawk, the wolf's nose or ear ocelot become tools of the blind and even says some, more prepared, they can even take the form of their nahuales and use this ability in various ways, not all well-meaning, according to popular tradition.

in mexico, the Nahuales are shamman persons who can transform into many animals, and people says that if you ever meet a nahual for first time, you have to avoid his eyes!....or you can pay sever consecuences....

now...ciel is the 8th son of a powerfull Nahual, so he traveled from mexico to this academy to learn more about his family bussines... (his brothers are studying medicine, graphic design, etc etc etc...)

he was rejected from the HA academy the first time, so he traveled again to his country and become a little more....agressive.....

Ciel is a shamman that uses energy spirits to transform him into an animal.....this natural energy is used to summon animal too....but first, ciel has to know everything about the animal he wants to summon.....o transform..... this is one of the reasons why ciel is back to the academy.
