Personality: He's usually calm in stressful situations, except if it involves family - then he becomes quite hot-headed. Otherwise, cheerful in nature. Has a good sense of punishment (if wronged, he tends to make a person work in recompense). Is a planner, and likes researching a problem before acting on it.

History: He used to be like his daughter (Faren), who doesn't want to learn or do her job as the heir. He did whatever he liked back then, while his parents were still ruling. He continued this attitude throughout school, earning him the hatred of some of his classmates.

However, when he was 39, he came to realize how much people work to support the king, and how heavy his responsibility truly is. After that, he became much more respectful of people and more focused on his future job as king; Ciel Vaan Hainne, from a family that supports the royal family as their right-hand advisors, after that, became one of his fast friends.

King Rengal from Shaif invited the other kingdoms to assist in the Troll War, and King Is is the only other ruler who personally went to his aid. The Troll War is his first encounter with war in general. His scar, however, is not from this war.

She acts as advisor to her husband, mainly, though she can also command the army with the king's approval, or deal with international relations without the king's consent. Major meetings, she cannot make decisions alone, but she does have a lot of power.

Personality: Demands a lot of people, and will pressure people to get work done, but never demands more than a person can deliver. She has a better control over her emotions and can make quick decisions better than her husband, so she works best under pressure, noble, high-class and graceful, more strict on Faren than Is is.

History: From a different clan near the sea, she was going to be a scholar, traveling on her own to other countries. This brought her to Central to continue her study, and met the king (then the prince) there. In the Central Kingdom, even princes go to the public schooling system, because it is tradition to let them live with their own people.

The school they go to is the one that is actually formed for the production of scholars who want to leave the country to continue studying. Rune met him there, but they did not fall in love at the time, because the way Is was then (irresponsible). It was later, after she came back from her study at other countries, that they fell in love. However, even after they were married, neither of them wanted children right away. This is why Faren is only 15 years old, now.
