This was my first real time watching HOUSE as I was doing research for the title card and had a blast with the film the whole way through even if the first act is slow going.

I am not a huge fan of horror movies and, as such, I tend to favor the more offbeat entries into the genre especially horror comedies that fully embrace the more fantastical elements of their stories. On that note, HOUSE felt like a slightly meaner and nastier story that could take place within THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS universe except it's one far away from New York and where no one from a paranormal investigation and elimination service is coming to help you.

Plus, Richard Moll is in this movie as the lead villain ghost Big Ben! Any movie with Richard Moll is made instantly better simply by having Richard Moll in it! A fact Brandon seems to agree with considering the fitting zoom out from Big Ben's dog tag at the 0:24 mark.
