Interesting. I thought maybe 8-1/2x11". How are you preparing it for the web? The download image looks a little soft but the edges are sort of harsh, as if you went into the file with a hard eraser or something.

well, the scans were made years ago, and they were not very high res.
I did my best to keep the integrity of the original, there was clean-up in the white and I enhanced the levels, which was more difficult than it might seem, because in the original, the dark areas have a great deal of detail. Tricky business, but the end result worked out fine. I had the old scan online for a while, un-touched, and it really looked washed out.
At this point, I want to convey the idea more than anything. I have literally dozens of these to scan and try to do something with.

I understand. These days, even cheap scanners seem capable of incredible optical resolution. Hopefully, you can scan the lot without much trouble.
