Ah, this is inspired by a lot of themes and dA artists. I got the slot for day 48, and 48 in KHR fandom means Spanner, thus the spanner-shaped lollipop in Coffy's hair. In Japanese folklore, floating flames was said to be the spirit of the dead IIRC, thus I go back to KHR and ta--daah~~ Shinuki! Coffy and Shinuki! Tea.
I want to draw Yin Yong (another mascot) too, but I can't find his reference picture. So I create a not-so-random figure to represent the cosplaying Yin Yong. Yes, Mr-Pumpkin-Head / Jack-O-Lantern / Dracula at the back is actually him! XDDD
I'm really proud of the clothing folds, it actually look like clothing folds! Of course, I have a lot to work on, but I'm glad my hand and mind are not too rusty from minimal creative usage over the months.

Once upon a time there was 2 fox siblings. The older sister Coffy was a bit dense, the younger bother Tea was somewhat a bit more mature. They wished to visit human world they had heard off so much, but alas, their appearances would have scared the mortals away. Until one day, they discover a festival in human realm called "Halloween", during which the Underworld Bridge will be open so supernatural beings like themselves can cross over to the human world.
Sensing the opportunity, Coffy suggested that they borrow the legendary Kitsune masks from they great-great-great-grandfather, Kyuubi-sama. The masks was said possess the power to lend the user humanly appearances for a limited time, thus they will be able to roam about in the human as freely as they want to.
Coffy and Tea visited the human world on Halloween night, proudly showing off their tails and fluffy ears. Their otherwise weird appearance mixed nicely with the supernatural-wannabe humans.
As dawn approaches, the siblings prepare to go home. But because the mask takes too much of their ability, they can gather enough power return to their original form, thus they can't cross the Underworld Bridge to get back home.
Tea wisely decided that they should stay in the human world while waiting for the day of the Fox Festival to come, the day not unlike Halloween, except this time the Underworld Bridge would be open from the human side of the 2 worlds.
So the siblings roam about in the mortal world, taking shelter in sheds and gardens, patiently waiting for the festival day to come...

As you request on #Traditional-Media 's critique day, I would love to be here to be part of that event. I hope you don't mind it
And here is about the critic:
- Overall, it's a lovely picture indeed. I love smooth, colors, concept and composition in this work dear.
- The lower girl's elbow is a bit small if you compare with her face dear.
And her lips are a bit lop sided (it was a bit up). You can try to draw it straight away with the nose (which the nose and lips always are). You may want to use straight guidelines to draw the face next time dear. Eyes, nose, lips always on same straight lines, somehow it likes this shape ---> T (nose, lips are straight away and in middle of eyes guidelines).
Her crown, ears, hair need a bit more contrast dear. About her hair, when you use the pen to shadow it like that, her hair will look likes it doesn't have enough shadow dear. You can try to use the darker color of her hair (darker blue/turquoise) to shading her hair.
-The higher girl has her hand is a bit small with her body dear, you can try draw her arm longer (just a bit), and bigger hand.
Her hair, jewelery need more contrast (and same steps as the lower girl, you can try add more darker pink to give her hair more shading dear).
-Their tails need more shading too,
-If the mask eyes can see through, then we will able to see everything under the eyes part dear.
After all, it seems a lot writing but actually there are not much problem here,
Again it's a lovely piece of art dear. I believe you can improve a lot more and make more beautiful art therefore please keep drawing
