Nothing shabby about it,  except maybe for intentional.
Have you taken formal Art studies or classes?

I am considering maybe taking a drawing class in the Fall....if things ease up vis-à-vis COVID.

I juggle numerous hobbies, as well, as the wife , kids, job stuff. And,  I just think it might be good,  if I got a little hands on - on how to hold a pencil, what light is,  what an arc or straight line is, lol.

I am not so much concerned about realism as I am repeatability.  

Currently every time I draw Chromette, she is a different person,  tall and metally,  but the face is different, the figure. 

That's partly because I am juggling styles (I am squirmy and MUST experiment and explore) but still,  I want some repeatability.
Because my long term objective,  is a cartoon-ish style, for illustrating the RPG games my group plays.  I love that. 

87.....wow,  I was just 2 years out of High School back then. And it was a very different world.  We had to date girls,  by introducing ourselves to/or dancing with them, face to face as complete strangers. lol
I have a lot of young friends who do almost all their dating through online-ish stuff,  or meets through other people.
If you remember 1987,  the hardest barrier to dating was going up to an attractive stranger and saying "hi", .

Don't know why I got off on that tangent, lol,  just been talking to many younger friends lately I guess.

My long term goal is like a narrative illustration, like a simple cartoony style.

But that's 10 yrs down the road. Now I am just having fun learning and practicing and developing the story and game.
