"They travelled from far and wide to send their final prayers, but it was too late."Tried to rely more on my brushwork instead of phototextures. Need to find a good mix. I'm quite happy with the outcome, hope you like it aswell

Thank you very much! Basically I started it for the Super Speedpaint Funtimes-Group on Facebook with the topic "Gods Death" given. I really wanted to di it, but could't get my idea out properly so I layed it aside for a week and tried again and then it worked just fine. My little story behind the piece was basically that there is this really old god ( the tree) that is worshipped by men for hundreds of years. Because of their treatment with nature in general the god slowly begins to wither and die, before their very eyes and they are to ignorant to see it is their own fault until it is too late. In my picture you see different pilgrims praying and mourning the death of the god. Hope it sounds not to weird
