Continuing with my gallery, here's my take on Rogue.

I always loved that character and the angle they took for the movie was nice, but underwhelming. I have no complaint about Anna Paquin's performance, but more about the stuff she had to work with. True, they remained faithful to her basic set of powers, but in itself, it is a bit insufficient to make her a badass. It's when Rogue stole Ms Marvel's powers that she truly turned into an awesome character. And that was... in her very first appearance in Avengers!!!! So yeah, Movie Rogue was a bit weak.

In X-Men Infinity, Rogue is more like the comics version, although with close relationship with Bobby, like in the movieverse. She's also a very close friend of Kitty Pryde, like in Evolution. As for her powers, she has, during her time on the road, encountered some curious powerhouse and when she absorbed her powers, it went haywire. The target wasn't a real mutant, but some kind of Enhanced. The change is permanent, and it gave Rogue strength, flight and resistance. It also turned her eyes blue from green. For the rest, she struggles with her powers like Rogue always does. She's one of the first recruits, having been found by Xavier before the story begins. She is in the starting core group of the X-Men, fiercely loyal to Cyclops, to the point of punching Logan on occasion, when he pisses her off.

Done on paper, then in Photoshop and Painter. To be completely open, I did draw from a reference, which was this piece by Tsbranch: tsbranch.deviantart.com/art/An… . I just fell in love with that pose, attitude and, for a part, this design for Rogue.
