I AM FINALLY DONE WITH THIS HOLY CRAP I AM LE TIRED. Just warning you, this is pretty huge.

So yeah, for those of you who want to have a little idea of how old I am, I first played Bust-A-Groove after renting it from Blockbuster.

Yes, when Blockbuster rented out PSX games.

Yes, when PSX games were new and awesome.

STOP MAKING ME FEEL OLD SHUT UP.

It was kinda my gateway drug into the rhythm-and-action genre of gaming, so this along with Um Jammer Lammy have a lot of sentimental value to me.

This whole composition took a total of 4.5 pages of 8 1/2 by 11 pieces of paper over the range of a good couple of months, primarily as a bit of practice for me. For one thing, I HATE working large scale, so this got me out of my comfort zone. And also, I'm trying to get better with digital coloring because I find it daunting, so this was the perfect place to practice it.

I was originally only going to draw the characters from Bust A Groove 1, but because of my eerily unhealthy infatuation with Bi-O from Bust A Groove 2 and encouragement from my boyfriend, I added the BaG2 characters too. Not all of them, though. The special characters were utter crap.

Wanna know what ELSE was utter crap? They cut the endings out of the American release primarily because of Bi-O's ending:

Isn't that lovely?

But anyway. All the line art was done traditionally by hand with my handy-dandy Faber-Castell pens, and the base colors were done with Prismacolor markers. I used Photoshop Elements 9 to adjust shadows/highlights, as well as making certain features and effects more pronounced.

So there you have it, my current Magnum Opus (besides A Very Decepticon Christmas, of course). Hope you guys like it as much as I loved drawing it.
