Again, outfits from a fairytale movie... This time it's "The Little Mermaid". Her name is Undine, she is extremely curious about the world above the sea, and after falling for a human prince whose life she saved, the sea princess (first outfit) turns to the sea witch to ask for legs. The sea witch is btw not a bit like Disney's Ursula. She is not actually mean, just a bit strange since she lives alone and has visions and stuff. She is a very wise woman and warns Undine from what it means for her to have legs, that she'll have no voice at shore, that she'll feel pain at every step, and that she'll turn to foam on the waves if she cannot make the prince love her. Undine says she wants to dare it anyway since she asked the pearls about it in a "he loves me, loves me not"-game. The sea witch fulfills her wish and sends her to shore, wondering quietly to herself: "Of all things, it's the pearls you ask about love? The tears of the sea?"
Undine is found by the prince who is instantly charmed by her tomboyish mannerisms, her naturalness, and her adventurous behaviour. She prefers to walk barefoot and in trousers, rides at his side and quickly learns fencing - he sees her as a kind of beloved little brother (if it was at least "little sister"...) Realizing that the prince is actually in love with a girl who found him at the beach after Undine saved him, she wonders if she can make him love her by being more of a girl. She dresses up in a blue gown and dances with him at a celebration where he is to meet his arranged bride. The prince is smitten by Undine - but then his bride shows up and turns out to be just the girl he met at the beach. The two of them are happy in love, and Undine is heartbroken.
Her sisters bring her a dagger from the sea witch, claiming she'll be a mermaid again if she stabs the prince and his bride. Undine goes to them when they already lie sleeping, but she realizes she cannot kill them just because they love each other. She kisses the sleeping prince on the forehead for goodbye and leaves a seashell for him on the pillow. Then she walks into the sea. The sea witch appears to her and praises her strong moral and rewards her with a human's life: Undine is free to see the world now.

I love that movie, no eng sub yet But love watching that german movie, and the Sea Witch I it

A sorta, happy end. The Mermaid remains human, gets her voice back and is accompanied by Myrra the Sea Witch to travel the world.

I like it, too. Though, I'm not sure if there'll ever be a sub - not many German movies are dubbed for an English audience.

Well, there's a sub, but it's pretty poor.

Subbed. But I get what you mean

As I mentioned in the description, the outfits are those used in a movie, the german "Die kleine Meerjungfrau" from 2013. But the movie is quite closely orientated at the original tale of Hans Christian Andersen.

It's a german movie, so I fear you wouldn't get much out of it.
