The beginning of the family tragedy
His biggest inspiration was always death, darkness and the apocalypse. His paintings caught the attention of the public for the fact that they were completely out of the "normal" pattern. He did not follow the aesthetic lines of the moment, he was an artist who worked for himself.

His life began to turn into a nightmare when his wife, Zofia, died in 1998 after years of battling a terrible cancer. The artist, after his death, was devastated and took refuge in art and his son.

The couple had only one son, named Thomas: An important cultural journalist, one of the most famous voices on Polish radio and a great lover of music.
