Description
This image was done for a contest. Initially, the idea was to have a view over a futuristic city with a nice progression from the foreground and the city as the far background. Due to time constraints I ended up making many changes, so the original idea was no longer there. The whole image was created over a 3 weeks period of time, and took about 230 hours to complete. Everything was modeled and rendered in MAX2. All textures were drawn in Photoshop. I saw this back in 2000 in a book about 3dmax...(3dsmax r3 bible i think)
It was and still is captivating. ..

Rendering yes, but still a lot of work. If I remember correctly it took me about 3 weeks back then. Though today I could probably do it in 2. But I don't have that much time for personal projects any more
