ive always been insanely picky with anime/manga, literally only read/keep up w one thing (ill give beastars a shot when its finally on netflix) so i feel this
i love the sharp angles and lighting on this tho...definitely feels anime

really recommend gurren lagann,,,we just finished it the other night. its a classic and is DEFINITELY very trope-y but its really fun once they hit their stride (ab 5-6 episodes in). the animation/art in it is really amazing too.
and i tried something new w the shading for this!! rly happy with how it came out. used the polygon tool for all of it instead of doing it by hand

ill look into! its really been ages since i watched anything new for anime because im just soooo picky lol. theres so much to go through and so much of it just isnt engaging enough from the start but ill see if i can push through to the good part lol. the only manga i read is Girl from the Other Side which i mostly picked up bc of its gorgeous art style... there was an animated OVA that was REALLY pretty (it was all water color-like) but it doesnt have an anime of of yet... aside from that i think the last anime i was obsessed with was Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji but i dropped it (the manga) when it went...bad. very bad lol.

i'm the same way! i never got into anime bc i'm just SOOOO picky with it and never really wanted to try anything unless i was immediately interested. also never really got into manga even tho it feels like i shouldve? comics in general i feel like i missed out on during my childhood haha. i've never heard of Girl from the Other Side but if i ever decide to start reading manga i'll def keep it in mind!!Β

I think I luckily picked up manga because of middle school, I was surrounded by weebs and luckily my school library actually had some manga?? It was back in the day when i actually had time to read shit lol. I can read manga waaay faster than reading a typical book which is probably the one reason I pick up manga ever now and then... someday Iβll read a normal book again lol
