Thank you for lurking in my gallery :3
Glad you love my art. My gallery here is specially for dark and 'overly slash' art because I want to share it separately and secretly from the rest of my works XD

Found that out after checking your tumblr, lol. I'll check back every now and then, but if you don't mind let me know when you start posting it. That would be cool, because I really would like to get the back story on these works, they are very interesting, and you don't see that pairing often at all.

Of course. Glad somebody is interested. I thought nobody is curious to see my work, most of those who ask are just random lurkers who forget my page in the next week. Indeed, Lauki was the pairing I have created the fandom for; before me there were few Laufey/Loki fanfictions written by obviously non-shippers of particular couple as most of them ended unhappy. Everyone was kinda squeamish about this pairing. I am the only one who treated them with respect and admiration. It's been like a whole year but I'm still a hard-core shipper. I draw fanarts, I write stuff, I blog them, I make fanvideos, I do so much because through this pairing I can express so much of my feelings and thoughts that no one other pairing can.

Thanks, I will certainly read it once you start posting it.
Also I've notied most all Jotun x Loki ships, always end badly. I've found that a little ironic that people get weird about that, given its ok to ship Loki with anyone and everyone else (literally, from random Midgardians , to all the Asgardians, to all the Avengers).
But I'm glad to have found you, I think this side of the fandom deserves more exploration as well. -When your hardcore about a ship, that means its your OTP. xD Mine for this fandom has always been Thorki, second to LokiCest and or Frostpudding. But I like to mix it up, so I'm looking forward to your adaptation.

And you won't even care if it's incest? o__O
Yeah. They say 'cuz Loki loathes jotuns and especially his father'. But it gets more and more interesting why there are FrostIron tories with happy ending, and Lokixmidgardians and asgardians fanfics with love involved, when Loki actually hates them all. Also in the comics Loki not only never ha been attracted to womanhood, he seems to detest his wife Sigyn and other women like Sif. While people keep tilling me why I make Loki love Laufey. I have no idea why they are so sure that Loki should hate Laufey and other Frost giants.
I've been shipping Thorki but as I got on Lauki, I think I love them even more from then and now forever cause Thorki could not keep me exited for a long time, perhaps maybe because Marvel threw that shit with Jane so Thorki relationships are fucked up. I hate it. I hate Jane. That's why Thorki has disappointed me. Thor is an asshole for treating Loki like that. And he dares to say that he loves Loki - how? Their relationships kind of frustrate me because so much information floating around this 'worldwide ship' it actually became a 'mainstream thing'. And I'm that kind of person who does not likes mainstream. Like everyone is listening to Gangnam style or Gaga, when I don't. I would better hear the martial neo-classic Third Reich themed music or melt by heavenly voices of Greek Orthodox Monastery Ensemble chorus and those are something I haven't seen somebody listening to.

Its just a story, so not really. I read Thorki, even when the writers says they ARE brothers and not adopted at all. A story still just a story, the only thing that makes me squeamish are relations with animals (although we all know where Loki's children came from - tentacle monsters don't count), and hints of underage (that is something I will -never- read). But beyond that, I've read so many different stories on here, AO3 and fanfiction.net not much else bothers me. I say bring on the kinks! Everyone has them its just the matter if a person is honest about it, or not. I prefer themes involving (plot first) yaoi, chains, and dubcon. Happy endings are nice too, as long as they don't come off as superficial or forced.
But yeah I hate Jane too, its 'forced' BS if you ask me. I'm not into following what other people like myself either, but I just can't stop loving that ship. I took part 2 in a different light though actually, if you see Thorki as a long past cannon, all of the movies actually make a lot more sense. Shows deeper why Loki hates Thor. But as far as Jotun fics, those are always more exotically tropical (even if they often end badly), because its refreshing and a look into a less explored universe.

Underage doesn't bothers me unless 'under' is considered 'before' 10 years old: surely I talk about gods, not humans. I personally have a story where 14 years old boy develops relationships with a grown man, but I don't think people are able to understand this, so I'm rather keep this story secret till the better times, when the society is willing to conceive the meaning behind covers.
Zoophilia tendencies among the gods is something ordinary, just take the Greek mythology where Satyrs and Centaurs are involved in relationships with nymphs. But personally for me, animal-like supernatural creatures don't interest me in sexual way as for a slasher I am, we'll I'm personally squeamish about furry, scaly and horny lovers.
Jane is forced by Marvel and promoted by feminists. I hate it when fandoms aggressively enforce fem characters to favorite male characters, like the pairing LokixSif or LokixSigyn are cardboard pairings, they're just as baseless as they are, often shipped because they find it 'sweet' and all 'corny' stuff with nice boys and pretty girls. And many of these relationships are all based on sex and outward things like how much the character is cool and baddass or cute and sexy. Shipping Loki with a female - this is just so banal. I find it unspeakably boring and silly.
When I think about LokixThor or LokixLaufey the first thing that comes to my head is deeply emotional, dramatic and complex relationship which background is great love that is conditioned by the hatred of hurt mixed with different kinds of pain. And when I write fanfiction or draw fanart of them, they make the ground for me to think about subtle subjects like philosophy, comprehension of the reality and dreams and help to develop the understanding of the divine and transcendental. I admit I mix my fandom stuff with original Myths quite a lot, cause I always look down to the roots.
But the phrase that Jotun race is something 'tropical' is just as weird as 'northern banana'. Jotuns for me are ancient Nordic race that reminds me of something Roman or even Aryan type, as the Ken Branagh said he wanted the Frost giants to be "intelligent and sophisticated race" not dumb brutal monsters. The fact that they have a "tribal" system of society does not mean they have to be alike Hindus or Arabians. Do you know that the designers who created concept arts for Frost Giants and Jotunheim were inspired by the following cultures: Old Norse, Roman and Gothic.
Scythians and ancients Nordic people were tribal too and they wore gold and were somehow dressed in 'half naked' typed outfits.
But why Jotuns are depicted as pseudo 'afro-arabic-indian styled uglies' - I have no idea and I'm just really pissed off with this stubborn stereotype.

Ten is a tad young, but then again some countries marry off their kids pre-puberty. I personally don't read fics invoving minors, but don't get me wrong there is pretty big market for hints of that looking at popluar things like anime Black Bulter (people tend to ship ten year old Ceil, with his demon butler - I adore that show, but I ship the butler and the grim reaper). In fact its so big in the Japanece yaoi culture, it has its own branch name (its shortah, or something like that, but yeah its huge). So I don't doubt people would read your fic, epsically given its Loki related. I've scrolled past a few that had the "underage marker" on them at AO3 for Loki, so. But yeah I personally am not into that, I only like gay for grown ups. xD
I don't think real feminists do that with female characters, although I do think the straight shipper fans are forcing it, and some of the chicks who are, might hide behind being a "feminists" to support their ship. But that's a BS excuse if you ask me, being a feminists actually only means "woman are equal to men" -nothing else-. Tom has said he is one, and so am I. But I'm not the kind of person to use a simple title like that (or a religion for example) to shove my own -added- beliefs (aka "two cents") to support my actions like most people do... Those people are fakes, if you ask me as I'm sure you'd agree.
And very true, LokixThor or LokixLaufey are very powerful dramatic ships (a major reason I love them too) and that's something Jane could never come pair to. In fact thinking about it, I don't think I ship anyone who doesn't have that dramatic, light and dark nature to it... Thinking about HannibalxWill, and all my other fandoms.
As for the term tropical, fair enough, but I think you misinterpreted what I meant there. I know Thor is from the Old Norse mythology (I know quite a bit about it, Greek mythology was my favorite growing up but Norse has very much so replaced it). Anyway, they are "tropical" because they are depicted (in both the films and often in the mythology) as wearing a lot of gold, often wearing loin cloth (being half naked - as you have drawn here in fact), and have body markings and sometimes body piercings. Tropical in the sense that they are exotic, and their style of dress is very tribal. The only two characteristics of the Jotuns that -aren't- tropical, is that they live in the cold instead of the hot (though they dress for hot), and that they are sophisticated (although arguably, there were/are tropical tribes that were very sophisticated, for what they had available to them). When I hear the term, I actually never think of Hindus or Arabians... And I've never heard of Jotuns being stereotyped as 'afro-Arabic-Indian. Although their use of gold/jewelry could -easily- pass as being from India, if one didn't know better. But beyond that they have no other similarities, I am aware of.
Anyway, I stumbled across your work again, and found I had never replied to this, sorry. I thought I did like the same day. In fact I'm almost sure I remember writing this AGES ago, but guess something went wrong when I posted, lol.
