But mostly I followed the manga. I like the manga's plot much better.
I only followed the anime during its 1st season, didn't follow the 2nd one since I didn't like its plot (it was just seemed ridiculous and destroyed the story that 1st season had built)

Agreed the second season got very twisted and its end feels like it had no connection to the other seasons. It;s very confusing.
Aggghhhh the comic gave me so much pain!!!!!!! But it was so AMAZINGLY written. I suggest you skip the 2nd season but watch the book of circus, the book of murder and the book of Atlantic. They have great hints about all that happen in the manga.
