Description
One of the crazier ideas I've come up with. Might make it into a story soon, my head's flooded with ideas at the moment so I can't say <3
EDIT: So and I talked more about this guy, here's what we came up with:
Info: A plushie spider designed to be able to collect groups and sort the good kids from the bad, and then take actions accordingly.
Appearance: A giant plush spider with eight big socks for its legs. The ‘eyes’ are represented by large buttons, which also connect the various joints on its body. The feelers on his head are also socks; these are mostly for decoration. Unusually for a spider, he has a long, blanket-like tongue. He is frequently seen in or near a spider web made from yarn.
Personality: Curious and kind, he always wants to give those around him maximum comfort. He tends to want to feel out the bodies of his new playmates. He’s very intelligent and wise, knowing the difference of what’s truth and what’s a lie.
Powers:
Natural Strength and Agility: He’s able to climb trees and his own web using his yarn to pull himself very easily and quickly. He cannot bounce that high, unless he bounces from a web like a trampoline.
Yarn Webbing: His webs are made of yarn, and make for an adequate projectile. The webs wrap around the target when hit, restraining them, albeit comfortably.
Web Cocoon: Getting caught in his web makes the yarn wrap around the person like a big yarn ball, keeping the person stuck and calming them down before they are swallowed.
Sock Cocoon: Swallowing a person or thing places them into a rolled-up sock, which he lays like an egg, then unrolls into a stocking that he hangs from his web. These cocoons have powerful magic properties. If the held person turns out to be a good person, it will change into a blue color, comforting and protecting the contained. If the held person is bad, the sock changes to a red color and tightens to hold them in place. Like eggs, the socks eventually ‘hatch’ when they rip open. By this point the person inside has been placed inside either a blue or red spider costume to match the sock color.
Blue Spider Plushie Suit: The person inside the suit is able to move the six legs of the suit with their mind. The head and hands are moved physically by the person inside. The Suit is extra soft and comfy, as Sock Spider is kind to the blue suited kids, giving them food, water, and safe places to rest and play. Eventually, the kid will wake up back home, in a spider plushie set of pajamas, and with a little mini-sock spider plushie to remember their new friend by.
Red Spider Plushie Suit: These suits move entirely on their own. The person inside cannot move the suit and is contained inside of it, but they feel everything the suit feels, and are frequently tickled by Sock Spider. These suits serve and obey Sock Spider until he feels the person inside has learned their lesson. Even after they’re let go the plushie suit tends to keep an eye on its wearer from time to time.
Calming: Holding a kid in his sock hands calms them down as he massages over them and gives them a relaxing feeling in every part of the body.
Lullaby: A compliment to the Calming, Sock Spider has a nice little lullaby to help lull kids to sleep.
Hypno: Staring into his button eyes lulls the person into a hypnotic trance, making them more calm and agreeable.
Web Traps: He can place small webs on the ground which, when stepped on, wrap the victim into a big ball of yarn.
Tracking Socks: Socks that he likes to leave for potential targets at a location. They’re soft, comfy, and they never wear out or get dirty. But wearing the socks keeps the kid on Sock Spider’s internal Radar.
