Yeah, if you think about it, other main characters have used weapons in the games (or at least had them).

Although only the taser is meant to seriously be used as a weapon, I don't see why the police officers and detectives couldn't have protection. Or maybe I'm just making excuses to see Ema use a gun. XD
Now that I think about it though, Lana would also look badass wielding a gun, with her military uniform and all.
And while I'm at it, Gumsh... uh, well that sounds like a dangerous idea actually. We're talking about the guy who's always loosing his wallet here.

Yes, please Capcom! I've always wondered what else she carries in that bag. Heh. Seeing as it's Ema, I can imagine she'd carry around night vision or infrared glasses as well as those luminol glasses.
That would be an awesome concept for a drawing! I'd love to see it. Actually, I'd love to see Lana make a come back as well. I always felt sorry for what she went through and it would be cool to see her as a prosecutor or a detective, but I'm not sure if she would still be qualified. Even if she was (say, she demonstrated good behavior over the ten years since the incident), I think everyone would be suspicious of her. That could be an interesting plot device though...
