Based on one of the mythical creatures from the tale of The Dark Crystal.

Hope this serves justice! Love Brian's work.

The shadows on the creature is overall good. Though The ones by the trees could be even more dark. Just as the right foot.

One of the things I like the most about it is all your tiny details - The tattered clothes, the lamp, the pipe and the backpack. The rock and the plant at the edge of the drawing gives a nice touch - as if it's real.

By the finger of the creature, there could be a bit of indication of a sky - that would give a realistic look.

All in all a Beautiful drawing, with a little room for improvement^^

Thank you thank you!
I apologize for not receiving this sooner. Got caught up with work over the last 3 weeks.

Your right, I should have put more time into this such as adding more landscape around the finger area, but it started off as a small doodle over lunch break on blue lined paper... which took a while to edit out, haha.

Next picture I post I'll be sure to put a lot more detail into!! Thank you very much for sharing! I always welcome other peoples thoughts for improvement!!

The character design and the manner of drawing the trees are quite nice, but maybe the shadow on the ground from the large figure could be darker so it recedes behind the figure instead of merging with it. I think the composition would work better if the large figure was positioned more to the left, and not so close to the middle. Also if the lamp extended more off the page, that may help composition as well. I think it's good that you have a few objects extending from all sides except from the right, as to indicate the 'unknown'. Overall an inviting depiction with no major issues from what I can see.

Oh man, thank you very much!
But I do feel bad that I didn't put more time into it...
But thank you very much! It's good to hear from someone else's point of view all the time.

This is incredible! I remember when I was little, my Dad and I always used to watch the Dark Crystal, it was always our favorite. And just the design, the shading and just...all of your drawing is great.

Thank you ^__^
I myself only watched the movie for the first time about 4 years ago. But I am still in love with it and feel like I've seen it my whole life.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
I think you may be my best watcher.

Always be wary of taking advice from a creature that much bigger than yourself....

....Impressively rendered!
