Description
This piece pretty much reflects one of the reasons why I think music plays a big part in my life; it takes me to another place, universe, space and time, I did this piece while doing exactly that for a full 2 hours, I was lost somewhere and it was nice.

I think this is a real masterpiece! It's simple in a beautiful way and it is capturing the essens of what music really is about. I don't think the text are ruining the shirt, because it's short, precisely and clear. I think it's more like emphasizing the image and completes it.. I really like it and I have voted for it (:

I was dreading the five color version of this- thinking it wouldn't be as good as the original.

I do have to say it would be a stronger piece without the text because of the quiet and contemplative mood already established. The dynamics between text and image are interesting. It's almost like in every piece we decide to design, we have to consider which one is most important- text or image? And then we have to consider if the chosen text is adding to the design or distracting from it. With the mood already established in this piece via color palette and the character's tilted head, I don't think the phrase is necessary. The mood is stronger without it. Still, awesome work. And kudos for the revision earlier!

Yeah, initially i wanted to create this without any text at all, but I added it in eventually to balance out the composition and project the main concept of being lost in music slightly more too. Tbh I do agree that it could do without the text as well since its already got a strong shape/ mood like u mentioned, but i think i'm gonna have to leave this one as it is for now. I'll take this aspect more into consideration on my next design tho, so thanx! and you've got pretty neat entry too, good luck

Awesome piece! Both of the pieces are amazing. There's definitely a different mood with the black and white version, and it works quite nicely with a night sky- quiet and contemplative. But then you have this edgy mark making on the headphones and the edges of the character that adds a nice dynamic. Love it!
