So! On to the fifth in my mucha-esque crayon mermaid series! For this one my friend didn't have a colour request, I suggested the idea of a coconut themed one for her since she adores coconut trees. She loved the idea. :> So I chose the complimentary colours for this as black and white.

I decided right away that I wanted the hair to be white to make up the flesh and milk (actually water, but milk sounds better) of the coconut. And with that I severely wanted the skin to be the brown from a coconut. It was a pleasure to do this one! I really enjoyed it. I think I actually got to make this more Mucha looking than the others since I wanted very little detail muddling the white and shape to her hair. This one is by far one of my most favorite in the series. ♥ ♥ ♥

For this project I'm using an unusual medium.. crayons (the waxy kind), rather than colour pencils, as a challenge.
