Description Shannon found herself walking down a street late at night, or at least she assumed it was late at night. It was hard to tell with the clouds blocking the sky and pouring down rain, and it wasn't helping that it was also cold outside as well. Shannon was speedwalking, with only a coat covering her tanktop and shorts. She had no idea why these type of clothes were on her in such weather with only a light coat to give her any warmth, which was already soaking wet from the rain.

Shannon continued walking down this street, which she now realized is empty and dark as well, as though this place was just abandoned yesterday. The woman was shivering, her teeth chattering. Where was she? Why was she the only one here? Where was her husband and daughter? Her mother? Her friends? Just where were they? She wanted to call someone, but she didn't have her phone with her, not even her wallet, even though she doubted she was gonna go in somewhere and hope she can get a bite to eat, all the buildings were locked tight.

Suddenly, as though by the smallest miracle, there was a building with an outside lightbulb glowing brightly. Shannon hurried over to it and pounded on the door. "Exc-cuse m-m-me!" She tried to speak through her chatting teeth, "I'm l-lost! Can you he-help me?" There was no response, but Shannon wasn't planning on walking anymore tonight. She was staying under this light, which luckily had a small outside roof, so she was able to get a little dry.

Just then, she heard the door open when she had her back facing it. She was about to turn around and greet whoever came out, only to have her mouth covered by what felt like a rather bony grayish green hand with rather long fingernails. Her eyes widened in fear as she heard this being whisper in a distorted, seductive tone.

"Hello… Sweetie~"

...

Shannon jolted awake, feeling her heart racing from the dream she had. She was now in a room all too familiar, her bedroom she shared with her husband. She was in bed, Robot sleeping soundly next to her, arm wrapped around his wife. If it weren't for the fact that he made soft noises in his sleep that Shannon swore sounded like imitated snoring, or the whirring noises going on in his body, she would be scared he's suddenly not working. He had no heartbeat, he didn't need to breathe, so his body never would slowly rise up and down like she does. Shannon was used to it by this point though. It didn't bother her really. The whirring noises in him made up for no heartbeat for her to listen to when cuddling with him.

She scooted much closer to him, burying her face into his chest and breathing in the scent of fabric softener on his pajamas deeply, trying her best to calm down from that freaky dream she had. She felt his warmth and snuggled in more, trying to forget how she could still feel that hand from her dream, how cold and wet the streets were. She wanted to forget that dream and remember she's safe.

She then felt Robot's arm gently rub up and down on her back, making her look up and saw he was awake, looking a little groggy. "Um.. Morning honey," she said softly to him.

"Good morning…" Robot mumbled a little. He looked at her for a few seconds before talking again, "You don't normally wake up this early on a day off. You tend to sleep in, or at least until Rihanna wakes up and jumps on us."

"I, uh… Just didn't sleep too well last night.." Shannon muttered quietly, hoping Robot wouldn't get too worried.

"You should have woke me," he told her, "you know I get worried when you have sleep problems." Shannon bit her lip. Her hope quickly was thrown out the window. She just didn't want to explain she actually had a nightmare.

"Sorry honey," Shannon laughed a little, "I didn't wanna wake you."

"Shannon," Robot gently lifted his arm from her back and lightly stroked her brown hair, "you look shaken up. What's really wrong?"

"Nothing!" Shannon lied, "I just had some sleep problems that's all!"

"Shannon, please tell me if something is wrong," Robot said, placing his finger under Shannon's chin and making her green eyes look directly into his yellow ones, "I want to help you in any way I can ok? We both agreed we'd come to each other if something is wrong. So please… Tell me…" Shannon stared into his glowing eyes before she sighed. Robot could easily tell if someone is lying and Shannon wasn't exactly a good liar, neither was Rihanna really. Robot however was hard to tell sometimes with that. She caved in. It was only just a stupid bad dream right? Why was she so worried about it earlier?

"It was… just a bad dream was all. Nothing to worry about," she answered. Robot thought for a few seconds before responding.

"What happened in it?" He asked.

"I.. well.." Shannon thought more on her dream, "I was walking around some town that looked abandoned… It was raining, and cold. No lights were on except for one... I went to it.. and knocked on the door. I looked around and suddenly.." She felt a shiver go down her as she recalled the hand, "A hand came out and… covered my mouth.. I woke up then…" Robot listened and nodded.

"It was just you in the dream?"

"Yeah.. I didn't know where you, Rihanna, or anyone was. It was pretty creepy.."

"Shannon," Robot wrapped his arms around Shannon again, keeping her close to him, "I know it was just a dream but… Know that I would not leave you to wonder someplace by yourself. I'd do everything in my power to find you. You will never walk a street like that without me."

Shannon sighed and snuggled against him, softly moaning when she felt him pull the blanket up more, covering her shoulders. "You are still shivering," Robot noted, "are you cold?"

"A little yeah," Shannon nodded, almost falling back asleep.

"Want my heater on?" He asked her. Shannon nodded and Robot turned his inner heater on, making Shannon feel better and rubbed her head under his. Robot smiled and planted a small kiss on Shannon's head. "Let's sleep a little more before Rihanna wakes up."

"Ok~" Shannon said quietly as she was drifting off, inhaling more of Robot's scent, now even smelling the scent of baked goods, recalling Rihanna got him to help her bake a bunch of treats for a school Halloween party. It made her want to cuddle him all the more as she drifted further off into slumber.

Robot gently carressed his wife's hair and whispered to her sweet nothings, that he will always be with her. Shannon was feeling nothing but safe and secure with him. Not because he was a robot that could easily fight someone off who would dare to break into the house, but because she knew he loved her. He was more than just a machine, he was her husband, her lover, Rihanna's father, a sweet guy that's easy to get along with, manages to figure out situations quickly, and so much more.

She finally fell back asleep, and proceeded to dream more sweetly until she heard the familiar sound of a young girl opening the bedroom door and giggling. And thus starts another day with her family.

-- Pretty much a mini fic I had sitting in my docs for a little while and decided to finally share it to the public. Yes, this is them in their adult years in my RJ shit where Robot and Shannon are married and have a robot daughter, Rihanna. As for what the dream could possibly mean..... That's a sorta secret for a future story ;3 Anyways, enjoy the fluff ~
