Description Hey guys.
Some of you might have noticed that I've been pretty quietΒ online recently- at least as far as deviantart goes. I've been putting the odd doodle on my Twitter but nothing mind-blowing, and those of you who follow me for my nuzlocke have been left rather wanting for the last uh... best part of four months. Yeah. That's kinda slow at the minute.

To say I'm going on hiatus right now would be kidding myself. I've basically been on a hiatus for a few months now; it's only now that I'm making it official. The reason for this, is that I am reeeeeeal busy. Hiatus is a scary word I know but I swear it'll just be for a bit.

I'm in my final year of university and things have really just been non-stop work with barely any breathing room. I've barely had time to work on anything except for the odd tiny doodle in-between. I'm working full-time on two short films, both of which demand a lot of attention, and it's as much as I can handle to keep up with them along with my daily life. This is, therefore, basically just a clarification of what you can and can't expect to be seeing from me over the coming months.

The final deadline for our films is May. Between now and then, my activity on DA will be very minimal. I'll still check my notifications and messages every other day at least, and you can still contact me regarding commissions, however slots will be limited due to time restraints, and I'll be updating my commission sheet relatively soon, so please do wait until that's done if you're planning on requesting something- at the time of writing this I'm full, but I'm trying to figure out a way to have my commission availability status easily accessible across all my online platforms.
For correspondence such as that, emailing me at epifexart@gmail.com is preferred to the notes on here, as the conversations are more easily manageable on my part, and I like to have all that information in one easily accessible place.

Nuzlocke. That's still a thing. I know it's been updating at snail's pace recently, and even now I stand by what I've said in the past- unless I announce otherwise, it is ongoingΒ and not cancelled. It will, however, be on hold over the coming months, similarly to the majority of my activity. I do still read and appreciate all the comments I get on it, and I look forward to being able to return to it once I have more time to do so. I think that the skills I've been practising at university will help improve the quality of the writing and pacing, and I'm excited to apply them to it.

Streaming is also going to be infrequent, although maybe briefly possible over holidays and the like. No promises however.

Basically, this is another selfish request for everyone to be patient for just a little longer. I hate being so inactive and I want nothing more than to dive right back into the incredible communities that I've grown distant from in recent months. A lot of you have stuck with me for a long time, and I'm trying my hardest to give back, but I have my limits and right now my attention has to be focussed on my degree. I'll try to keep people updated every now and again, and I'm looking forward to being able to stream, write and draw for you guys once my schedule is freer.

Thanks for your patience guys, it really means the world to me.

Later all.

Hey man, I get it. During my busiest semester of school, I left home at 7:00 AM and returned home between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM depending on my work schedule. I barely had any free time for a few months there. We get it. I've been nearly burnt out before and it's no fun. So avoid that. Let things that CAN fall to the wayside do so. Because your own sanity is the most important. We'll still be here waiting for your return.

This isn't a selfish request at all. You're prioritising. It's part of being at uni. In fact, it's a part of being at uni that a lot of people tend/try to ignore. Good on you for putting the things that matter more first. We'll still be excited to see updates when you do have the occasional facility to produce something again - I remember being surprised at how fast an audience doesn't turn over online.

I think everyone who reads Nuzlockes on Deviantart is pretty good at being patient by now, haha.

So basically nuzlock will continue in May. So my birthday gift will essentially be the nuzlock comic uploading more often? Either way it’s still a thing so I’m happy either way

Oh man...University is so stressful. I finished in May, and due to an error on THEIR part, I'm still fighting them for my diploma.

Do what you gotta do, friend. Focus on school, and best of luck with your films. Believe in the me that believes in you! You got this!

I think I speak for most, if not all, people when I say take your time. There are webcomics I follow that have been on hiatuses for literal years because of the artist's personal or work life, four or more months is completely understandable considering the situation and the length/quality of the pages.Β
Best of luck on your uni work as well. ^^Β

Epifex going on hiatus =
Epifex making short films = :'D
I love seeing student films, cause the sheer amount of personality, heart, and creativity that goes into them makes them unlike any other stuff I see. So if you're allowed to and feel ok with doing it, I'd love it if you could share those online when they're done and ready! That'd basically make my week. Well, y'know. Whatever week that is, that you share them. Or even just one. Again, I love student films, but a student film from you REALLY interests me.

I'm sure I'll be able to share them eventually. There might be a bit of a delay between them being finished and me being allowed to share them, since they're group projects and we may or may not end up submitting them to film festival/s. I'll probably be able to share individual shots as part of my showreel.
If you want a teaser though, they're both sort of mini-pilots for projects the directors want to take further. One is a fast-paced sci-fi type thing involving an evil box that can raise the dead, and the other is an lgbt+ fantasy d&d-esque story.

Yes and Yes.
Thanks for responding, man! I'll be waiting as patiently as I can to see both of those. Best of luck!

I too did not notice it has been 4 months already xD
I did notice you were less active here.
But I get where you are coming from, I too am super busy with my final year, internship and all so I too have been very inactive on dA in the sense of uploading new content.

I hadn't even realized it's been 4 months, haha. Take your time. I don't expect the world from someone providing an entertaining comic at no cost to myself. Best of luck with uni, dude.

I think pretty much anyone whose gone to university can relate to you. It can get very hectic at times. Just keep up the good work when you're ready and able too
