Description
This is a more or less lifesize scan of the drawing itself. It's a mermaid, obviously. You might think it's an androgynous merman, but I deliberately kept it flat-chested because, frankly, there's no way in hell that mermaids would actually have breasts, were they to exist.They're all about swimming and being streamlined, and breasts would be totally useless, as would feminine curves. Even if they lactated, which is unlikely, given their aquatic environment and fish DNA, their lactal glands would likely be much less pronounced than those of human females.
You have to think practically over aesthetically sometimes.

I've ever thought that sirens should be half-cetacean instead of half-fish
and in the case they are half-fish, please, rigid fins! they're predators, not goldfish
so, about the chest, it could be used as a lure
when more atractive are the human half, more sailors fall in the trap

I like your line of thinking about mermaids and agree 99%! A hint of eye candy is always welcome to me, but nothing ridiculous like some folks make mermaids out to be!! I really like all the fishy features you've given her, from the armfins to the webbed fingers, and the extra assorted fins! Hope to see more of her!! The only thing that looks a bit 'off' is the shortness of her tail.

Yeah, I take the same kind of approach. Obviously there's nothing wrong with a little bit of 'feminine charms' once in a while, but it's good to think practically sometimes.
Also, I see what you mean about the tail, I suppose it may be a little short.
