A slightly different composition for this shot versus Among Giants I. In Among Giants I, I put my camera right up against the trunk of a mighty redwood, pointed straight up, and fired. For this shot we found this nice grove along the trail and set my camera just inches above the ground and pointed straight up. I really tried to have one of the giants in each corner of the frame to really help pull you into the center of the image. Thought i do like the composition of "Amoung Giants I" id od also think it's rather "classic", so i really appreciate your different approach with this one. The "pull you into the image"-effect (as we professionals call it ) may not be as strong, but it definitely is the more interesting piece.
Maybe having the sunlight directly above you would have given it the final touch?

Thanks for the critique Tom. Having the sun directly above could have very well made this a better shot, then again it can be hard to find a clear spot in the canopy it is so dense. Great advise for me to remember next time I'm in the area!
