What did you think of the whole 'it's not an 'S' bit in the trailer? To me that line reeked of Nolan. After the whole Robin fiasco, there's no doubt in my mind he's responsible.

I'm alright with it. In some ways it's refreshing to see a new take on something that's been around for so long. It it works, wonderful. If it doesn't, thankfully we have the classic Superman film starring Christopher Reeve to fall back on for the quintessential Superman.

I believe in Zac Snyder: and Zod; and I'm hoping to God we get a trilogy that features Lobo and Braniac at one point or another. It makes sense for him to be in this series.

This is how it should go if it's a four movie saga:
1)Zod 2)Lobo and Luthor 3)Brainiac and 4)Doomsday. To me that reads like the ideal legacy. The major big-bads are all represented in this list: Zod and Doomsday are the perfect book ends.

A trilogy would be nice. But I'm not holding my breath since the studios are so fickle. It will be nice seeing the man of steel fight good ol' Zod though!!!

Well, actually they've trying to get a Lobo movie off the ground for years: maybe Zac's retelling is just the thing to get the ball rolling.

Let's hope so. I love the Marvel movies but I'd like to see some more DC characters. Personally I'd love to see a Swamp Thing film. He just so happens to be my absolute favorite.

I'd fucking love to see Sam Raimie or David Lynch do a 'The Sandman' origin story based on 'Sandman: the sleep of reason'; where instead of introducing the concept of the sandman through some bullshit coming-of-age story, it's established through the old Sandman's night terrors (of his past heroics) as he sojourns in Afghanistan with his terminal wife; and through the hallucinations and panic attacks he suffers as he struggles to save her again.

The new Sandman could be the war-time photographer in the comic. The Sandman to be when he takes up the mask after the old one dies at the end. That way we get a bonafide Sandman the entire movie, and we get an origin story.

Hello!

I would very much like to buy a print OR THE ORIGINAL of this fantastic piece. I originated the source photo for it a number of years ago here: [link] It was taken on the prison set for the end of Superman-The Movie.

I will be unable to attend the C2E2 in April when you debut it, so please let me know when and how I can make a purchase from you. It is now on my What's New page, which is here: [link]

Congratulations on a awesome portfolio! I appreciate your talent!

Sincerely,

Jim,
Thank you for the kind words. I've been wanting to do a Superman piece for some time now but always wrestled with how to portray him. To me, Christopher Reeve has always been the quintessential Superman. Once I saw that photo I had to use it as a reference. The piercing gaze combined with a quiet yet stern demeanor... it embodies everything that Superman should be. Thank you for creating the website, it's awesome. I'll post a link to your site on my epyon5 facebook page.

It will take me some time to make this work as I hand cut multiple stencils, one for each color, sometimes two for a color. It's an ornate design so it will most likely be finished just in time for C2E2. The original will be for sale as well as prints. Once it's completed I'll send you pics of the finished piece.

Thank you again, your comment made my day

I love the vintage feel of the stencil and how it adds a sense of time to a classic superhero. Do you think you'd sell posters of this?

I sell prints of my work through my etsy shop. I have yet to make this piece but once I do, I will have 11 x 17 inch prints for sale. Unfortunately it will be a good month or so before I complete this. The design is pretty ornate and it will take some time to cut the various stencils needed. If you feel so inclined, here is my shop...

Your work is so awesome!!! GAH! Unfortunately I'm in the middle of recovering from college and car payments. I'd love to buy probably 10 of your prints as soon as I have the money! Is there a limited supply of each print?

No limit. I know some artist believe in limited runs, but when it comes to prints I don't. If someone really desires a particular print, they should be able to have it as everyone should have access to art, not just the rich
