So how I stumbled on this one and it really jumped out at me. The contrast and detail are both really good. But It is the very visceral disturbing feel to it, that got my attention. good work.

Nice stuff
I'm around guns a lot, real and fake... so it's weird for me to see people automatically say, "omg, must be suicide." as soon as they see a gun.
A lot of this behaviour, i understand, is taught, rather than born. From TV, magazines, movies and the internet, people see terrible images. People are taught that when they a lone person, and a gun, in such a pose, that it MUST be suicide, must be bad.
IMO however, why can't someone like this have a lust for... say, power? Or a lust for the gun itself? The cold steel brings about odd feelings in her, the power... not knowing what to do, she aims it at herself, at the camera, at the bird sitting on the window sill...
You know, some more poetic shit like that! Why does everyone always think of suicide? Are a lot of DevArt users suicidal? I'm starting to believe so...
lol
Anyway, great pic, and great gallery. You deserve a fav.

Yes, it is a strange consept.
However, I think itΒ΄s close 2 impossible 2 change it.
People arent familiar with guns, it something unknown which makes it scary and temptaing
(which they of course mostly r, lots of bad damaged can be done with them)
thank u.

Either very interesting for what it appears to be to me, or very interesting because of the fact that I'm oblivious. Is this meant to be a depiction of general suicide, of shooting your own heart, or something I'm completely oblivious to?
Either way, a great work of art.

It says a lot about the artist, to create such fine art with what other people want in mind rather than their own feelings. But to me, I feel the deepest meaning of art is what the artist feels about it.
It would be interesting to see what you felt about your art when you first saw it, though if you were to say your feelings then people would see a much narrower view on it.
It leaves you as one of the greatest artists I've seen in my opinion.

And a great view it is, I see what you mean about it, and it makes a lot of sense. Just as I view it as the gun aiming at the heart, another has viewed it previously as the gun aiming simply at your boob.
I don't suppose you're ever going to be one to give input towards the artists feelings on it?

Indeed, a lot of different views can be taken, which is a sign of truly great art.
To me the action itself is a part of the feelings toward it. One can see someone aiming a gun at someone else and see a feeling of hatred, but if that person is in fact aiming at a poisoness snake, hes saving a life rather than trying to end one.
That or I simply overanalyze everything. All in all its still a great work, made even better by the broadness of the views that can be transcribed from it.
