Prompt #1- meeting your horse

Kylie’s POV-
It had been a long day of settling in at the villa. I was so jet lagged that allI wanted to do was go to bed. But there were other plans.
The group all headed towards the stables. Inside were the large majority of the horses. Many riders quickly found the perfect fit but non caught my eye. I headed outside to the paddocks. And that’s when I saw her. She was perfect. Her long flowing mane, her elegant and dainty steps all caught my attention. I took a look at the sign on the paddock gate. “Mercy- seven year old mare, 17.2 hands.” I climbed into the paddock and stood there to allow the mare to take in my presence. She let out a soft whinny before trotting over.
I could see she was tense to approach me but obviously curious. “You are stunning.” I state.
The mare took small steps towards me before putting her head down and sniffing my boots. I pulled out a sugar cube from my pocket and offered it to her. She sniffed it first before taking it into her mouth. She bobbed her head up and down.
“You like that hey?” She tries to nibble at my pocket. “I’m sorry, I don’t have anymore.” I laugh. I put my hand out and gently begin rubbing her nose. Then I step forward enough to rub her neck with the other hand. Her coat was so soft and her mane was very silky.
She put her nose into me then began trying to scratch her face on my back.
“You’re quite friendly aren’t you? Looks like the group is starting to head back. I’ll see you tomorrow. I begin walking away only to be surprised by Mercy following me. I climbed through the fence and said one last goodbye before catching up with the group. I just hoped she was actually wild and not just one of the owner’s personal horses. How embarrassing would that be.
