Well... Another submission ^^.Colours are kinda fade comparing to the original, maybe I should take a picture of it and put it to scraps.
At least I made some kind of background

Try to do a drawing with just backgrounds and no characters in it and see how it turns out. That way you can practice on them, or maybe add the character after you have the background done.

Backgrounds are usually the hardest to do, so it will take a while until you start getting perspectives right, specially when compared to the size of the person. But don't frustrated, cuz you'll beat it out and will make it look good.

Lately I've been hooked on the series "Dexter" from Showtime about a serial killer and I've been slacking a little on drawings. I'm trying to watch some 50+ episodes since the beginning of the series in less than a week. I have done a bunch of sketches of what I want to draw, but I haven't gone to try to do the finished pieces yet. I should try to get along better with my "scanner" and get my drawings on the computer.

I draw while watching all movies XDDD. That's why I usually choose movies, which I don't need constantly watch XDDD (eg. I can't draw while watching Heroes). My last choice was Supernatural (well... at least I could watch handsome non-asian guys here XDDDDD).

I need to stand up to use the scanner, and I can only draw on 8x11 pages because the scanner is small. I like drawing on 11x17 but those wouldn't fit. I love Heroes, so you watch it as well? (Handsome non-asian guys? Puke. Girls all the way!!!)

I draw on 11x17 then I scan it in 2 parts with my 8x11 scanner and then I join both parts in Photoshop.

Yes I know, you are good in coloring. But I completely suck in coloring to the point where you have never even seen a single character of mines in color. Coloring is my Achilles Heel

You should just find a media you like to use for colouring. Then you'd be colouring more and it'd look better and better as you practice.

No, sorry - digital colouring put's me to sleep. So it would mean that I'd be sleeping for weeks or months and your picture wouldn't be finished, because everytime I sit to do it I end up sleeping

Over here we have what they call the "Artists' Alley" and artists set up tables to showcase their art and sell it to people that visit, but most of that stuff is total crap. You are heads and shoulders over most of the people there. And to top it off, they sell it pretty expensive also.

Yeah, once you go to the conventions you'll be able to see their art and be able to weigh better your talent against theirs. But yes, you will see stuff that is really good, and then you will see stuff that is really bad. Like stuff that if you were the one doing it you would be too embarrass and throw it away. There are people that bad over there.
