omg... i need it. I will have to buy this when I have extra funds. They are so cute. Plus I have been curious about how to do this ~IN THE HOOP~ stuff. Most I can do is make hands with my machine. But that's kind of cool?

In the hoop is such an awesome technique. If you get it and make something, be sure to tag me! I'm super excited to see the creativity and different combos people do.

Yoooooooo I bought this little pattern and it looks SUPER CUTE and i'm totally excited to try it out, but I have a question that wasn't entirely clear in the instructions, that I can figure out (maybe i'm just being too cautious before flinging stuff on my machine bcuz I read everything 10000000000 times before doing anything) but how do I know how to line stuff up properly? Like, say I'm doing the spotted body, but then I'm going to add the layer on top? How do I get it right? Is that what marking the paper is for? And the basting spray? DOES IT STILL NEED TO BE HOOPED?

ugh sorry if these are like super nublet questions, i just got my machine in november and i feel like i can barely hoop my fabric right (IF I AM EVEN DOING IT RIGHT ) but I just want to do everything cool and new with it immediately. haha. As soon as I learn something I'm like "WELL THAT'S COOL TIME TO LEARN A NEW SKILL"

i really want to make some of these little guys for a friend who had to get rid of her lizards recently too.

As far as lining stuff up, everything has alignment marks embroidered directly onto the fabric for which you use the diagrams to show you where to place things, EXCEPT the spotted lizard top body part. But as long as you get it relatively centered, there's about a half inch give on either side, and if it misses one of the spots or it's a little off, it's no big deal. The basting spray is what helps hold everything when the machine is going back over it, so it's pretty much essential. The top layer you place over just before sewing never had up be hooped, only basted.

Ah ha! I see. Yeah I have some basting spray already, I used it for satin stitching some large bits on, very helpful. Nice then. I should be ready to give it a go when my new fabric arrives. There's a color in there I want to use for one of them specifically. Haha. I'll let you see them when I finish.
