- Removed black from color scheme
- Toned down 100% saturated red
- Added orange to color palette
Mane/tail
- Kept original flowy feel, redesigned to reflect lava
- Made solid--not transparent
- Removed gradient
Body
- Simplified necklace to a brown accent
- Adjusted cutie mark
- Gave eyeshadow

Where to start... Neat idea, suffers from poor execution. I'm not sure what tools were used to make the original drawing, but the only ponies that have transparent, gradiented manes are crystal ponies. I kept the original flowy ponytail feel as I thought it looked a bit like lava erupting from a volcano (at least, the up-then-down movement in a ponytail). I also decided to keep her as an earth pony due to volcanoes being earth related.
