I'm sorry for *Z1ven I also can't say I understand the feeling, but I'm sure I can imagine it pretty well... losing someone (or something) is never a happy moment... However the only thing I really ever lost were pets, which is sad as well... but a parent must be that times 100

It would be as good a thing if he cried as he would smile, I think. It would symbolise true friendship -you have to see that. For a tear it would show that your artwork has hit a deep place, in a beautiful way. If he smiles, it's self explanatory, I think.
Some dances, pictures, -movies-, get to me on a more spiritual level than just sadness, it's a good thing if something you've created can reach such a level, I think.
