it was a wonderful sort of foggy sunset that day..kind of strange actually, but it made for some beautiful atmosphere (to which I of course had jack johnson still running through my mind, lingering from listening to it in my car heh)..tried to recreate it here as best I could, that simple moment of sorts..anyway i'm glad you liked this though! do you get out to Galveston often, or there are some beaches where you live? (didn't really see many on my trip down your ways..maybe Padre Island?)

Beaches.. mmm.. I love the beach, but no, I haven't been to one in two years!!! And that was Galveston. There is one about 30 minutes from my hometown, and then Port Lavaca is 35-45 minutes away, but I never go. I really should. Maybe when I am home for thanksgiving I will take a trip...

Or maybe I will just live vicariously through your beautiful photos and pretend like I am there.

two years!! that's like...borderline blasphemy for a coastal girl such as yourself to be honest I wasn't all that impressed with Port Lavaca, I was expecting a mini galveston of sorts..but it was like..well not even close to that, heh. maybe I just missed all the right spots though (it's been known to happen!). and yes I think you should stop by galveston this Thanksgiving! just from hearing your words, it sounds like you honestly do love the ocean, beach, etc. so you owe it to yourself satisfy that the weather probably won't be that cold either so not too hot or anything to go and chill + enjoy..

anyway - thank you ( ) for the wonderful comment.. anyone saying something like about something i've captured just..well it makes me feel damn good as well (like a cosmic cycle of returning goodness back to eachother, hah weird!).

from your weather comment, I bet you are hating this little heat we are having now.. what happened to the cold weather??!?!? bring it back!!!!

and, trust me, I don't think you missed anything in Port Lavaca, it sounds like you were right on target. Galveston is much cooler.

I think it does have that sort of mexico vibe to it..those colors remind me alot of the riche tones from the mexican cinema movies I think..that whole sort of high contrast, deep colors in their stuff maybe?
