Awsome contrast between the fancy ass building and the stone one next to it... is that what u ment by EQUALIZER?
Sweet angle too.

er0k In reply to samanthaweinryb [2005-08-18 02:03:56 +0000 UTC]

actually no. but that is a great contrast to notice..they do balance eachother out w/the old vs. new don't they..? I just thought that the windows of the more modern building, and their perspective going up looked much like an equalizer on an audio player (heh)

bloddy hell gotham city is here to see, the dominance of the structures hold the photo so well, the black and white just outlines the boldness of the structures too.
good job

...yes very gotham-ish. they pretty much own anything with any sort of goth feel to it, don't they? (I mean you can't help but think of batman when you see darker, impending images eh?)..I wish they wouldn't bogart and hog all that gothy darkness thanks again for your words, always look forward to your comments

Another awesome inky sky. This is very majestic and strong. What do you do, lie flat on your back and shoot straight up? I never seem to get this powerful angle with my buildings. Gonna have to try harder! This building seems to just go on and on into infinity - nice choice, perfect perspective, balance both in composition, texture, and contrast. I think I see what BlackCore-RaiseHell is saying about the sky though, it seems as though the sky was shot at a different angle, more straight on, not looking straight up, because of the shapes to the clouds, maye the light source appears to be in conflict with the light source on the buidings? But it's not a problem, I was just curious what was meant by it so I looked for it and I can't even be sure myself. So whatever! It's a great image regardless!

er0k In reply to RadiumDream [2005-08-10 23:24:46 +0000 UTC]

they shouldn't match I took the photo of the clouds from a near parallel eye view in an open field about a week earlier, then I overlapped the buildings ontop of it (the sky in the shot from the buildings was from a nearly perpendicular perspective from the ground, looking straight up)..the original sky was quite boring, but since I liked the architecture I thought I would combine the two..

great eyes you two have!!

This is actually two different photographs, with the buildings overlapping a seperate picture taken of some clouds. I tried to make the light sources sync up as good as I could..and adjust the toning and hues to match eachother..overall I think it turned out well! thank you for your kind words as always..sorry not to reply to your note, have been busy lately trying to make all those "responsibilities" of life be met *wishes he could do art + photography all day* heh
