Hi, my lovely fishies! Long time no see, right? Gosh, aren't you cold in there?

Madison had known she was in great trouble as soon as she had noticed the horrid smell coming from the backyard. With the freedom she had been enjoying while her parents where off on vacation, Madison had forgotten about the only reason she was allowed to stay at home in the first place: feeding her dad's fish. A quick sprint to the pond confirmed it: all of the twenty expensive pets where floating lifelessly on the water surface.

Anyways I hope you're all used to this by now. You all seem to be behaving like you should.

The fish where as dead as Madison's hope her parents would let her live on campus when she would start her freshman year in college a couple weeks later. Knowing they could never find out about this, and since buying new ones was not an option, she decided it was time to once more use the strange powers she inexplicably had received some months earlier. After she had memorized the features of her dad's late pets as well as she could, Madison started inviting her old high school classmates to a party that night at her house. Skipping her best friends, she managed to get enough people for her cruel plan.

Guess I trained you quite well...

When they had all arrived, Madison decided there was no use in delaying what she was about to do with the unlucky teens. Having led them all to the backyard, she changed the boys and girls into fish, one by one. Their bodies where transformed just as easily as that of the woman whom Madison had accidentally turned into a pencil earlier, the only other person she had transformed at that point. After carefully placing the newly made fish into the pond, she discovered her problem was only partially solved: the twenty teens seemed to have retained their human minds. Clinging to each other, fruitlessly trying to talk, jumping out of the water... they did not behave at all like her dad's old fish.

I remember it was all a bit awkward in the beginning, with me going from your classmate to a sort of... well... goddess I suppose...

Luckily, they could still understand Madison's voice, so she could instruct them about proper fish behavior. She made it clear that not acting like normal fish meant no feeding, and three days of starvation was enough to get the most rebellious of her former classmates in line. When her parents came home, they did not suspect a thing about the animals in the pond. Staying at home for the holidays, today was the first time since last summer that Madison saw the poor boys and girls swimming around in her backyard.

And yes, I know you all would have liked to go to college instead of this happening to you, but hey, what's done is done, right? Anyways, I'll see you little fishies in summer, bye bye!
