You have a wonderful style, crazy and ominous. Perfect setting for this take on the "Jabberwocky" poem ^^ I'm loving this!

After checking out the other pages, I finally have to ask: how are you making these? Photoshop/equivalent? Regular ol' ink and paper? Stone and chisel?

The only things I didn't like about the visuals (in all of them, actually) were the "flat" sword, and how some of the disembodied spook-faces in the black areas look kind of..."doodly."

So maybe that's just a result of working in a tough-to-correct medium like ink?

Or maybe not; just curious. Great job as usual, though.

I'm using a hard round brush in Photoshop to make these. Pretty simple; the sketchiness is because I'm trying to churn out first drafts for all the pages while I have the time. I'll be cleaning them up before I publish them, which is why I appreciate the useful crits from people.

Awesome. Since they're just drafts, I feel so much better about being the only guy here badmouthing them.

So.

(If this is too much trouble than just ignore me) What kind of brush, exactly? Size, settings, etc.? Also canvas resolution/size? This whole digital art thing's a rather recent discovery, so I'm trying to connect with my inner sponge and gather all the knowledge I can from people who know what they're doing.

I work at 300ppi, and each single page is 8.5x11" (double for spreads). The brush size is pressure sensitive, so it changes depending on what I'm doing. These are only silhouette shapes, so the process is not complicated; just drawing and filling in the shapes.

Nicely done. I am really liking this illustration of the poem.
