Sorry, I don't actually have a proper, written-out pattern for these. I do them freehand using hexagonal peyote stitch. You can find the stitch in books like Julia S. Pretl's Little Bead Boxes and Diane Fitzgerald's Shaped Beadwork.

You know you don't need a pattern to put out just make one from the beginning on a video and download it on you tube, I think you will find a lot more people interested!!!!!???? That's what I would do!!!

Thanks for the idea. I'm not really that big on Youtube or video making, but I'll consider it.

Sorry, they're not currently for sale. I'm considering opening an Etsy shop this summer, but I have no concrete plans to offer them for sale yet.

Do you sell the pattern? I love mario and would love to be able to make mushrooms.

EraserRain27 In reply to SkyeTrinity [2011-07-17 01:58:22 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, I don't sell the pattern. (Truth be told, I don't actually have a formal "pattern", I just freehand and sketch the parts I need.)

I am, however, considering selling some of the mushrooms if you'd be interested.

are they hollow or do you have carboard or something inside

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EraserRain27 In reply to Honjx [2011-07-07 04:51:11 +0000 UTC]

Nope, they're completely hollow and free-standing. The way the beads are stitched together gives them their shape.

that cool...most I can do with beads is a lizard

Nehemet [2010-12-17 19:24:00 +0000 UTC]

How did you give them hats like that? Is it row increases or do you make them in two separate parts?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EraserRain27 In reply to Nehemet [2010-12-17 19:26:30 +0000 UTC]

Nope, just a row increase then decreases once I reached the top.

Sweet! That's awesome!
How did you make them? I bead too, would you be ok with sharing the tips of the trade?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EraserRain27 In reply to Searaph [2010-11-28 03:49:32 +0000 UTC]

I used hexagonal increasing/decreasing peyote stitch and tubular peyote, if that means anything to you. I don't have an actual pattern or anything I could send you, sorry!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Searaph In reply to EraserRain27 [2010-11-29 04:09:43 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, it makes sense. I used to work in a bead store and copied peyote stitch one day when I was bored, and I can ask my old boss about how to do those, or Google.
Thanks, though! Still time to make some gifts for the gamers on the list.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EraserRain27 In reply to Searaph [2010-11-29 05:40:53 +0000 UTC]

No problem! All of the techniques I used can be found in Little Bead Boxes by Julia S. Pretl. It's where I got my start with this stuff.

Oh, and I'd love to see the results if you do make some!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Searaph In reply to EraserRain27 [2010-12-02 04:32:50 +0000 UTC]

Cool, a book to order when classes slow down and I can pick up some hours at work. I'll defenately give it a look.

And I've made some stuff out of beads, mostly just little key chain lizards I kinda made up from experimenting with a design. There's some old pictures up if you want to look. I don't think there's any pictures of bracelets, but I've got to make a pacman one for a friend, so I'll post that one.

EraserRain27 In reply to Searaph [2010-12-02 06:32:33 +0000 UTC]

They're so cute! The structural beading's a similar idea. I'm sure you'll pick it up in no time!

Searaph In reply to EraserRain27 [2010-12-04 04:20:43 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I'd offer you a pattern, but I don't have one (I kinda made them up). And I'll give it a shot for sure, then post the results in this group!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EraserRain27 In reply to Searaph [2010-12-04 05:28:34 +0000 UTC]

Lol - I do the exact same thing!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Searaph In reply to EraserRain27 [2010-12-05 00:40:38 +0000 UTC]

You get the best results that way, and it really personalizes what you make

OH my god. . these are adorable, they look so difficult to make *_*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EraserRain27 In reply to BluEyedMatador [2010-11-27 23:25:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! And it depends on how you define difficult. Once you know the techniques, they're actually quite easy.
