If that was in the UK it would have been snapped up and converted into a house PDQ.

That would be neat to live in an old barn! I know we have a TON of them around here!!

Have to agree with you on that one, it would be good.

Over here, real old barns are normally listed buildings, therefore cannot be pulled down etc.

You always seem to find the most amazing places to capture these images. Is South Dakota just crawling with places like this, the old school house and the Waldord or do you just go on a lot of road trips? Goos stuff!

I think it is a bit of both.. there are tons of places like this out here, you just have to get out there and keep your eyes open! I always tell people that you need to just set out one morning and try and get lost.. take all the back roads that you can, you will come across a ton of stuff! I am hoping to head out and get lost tomorrow

We used to have more places like that around here, but it seems like every bit of land is getting developed for subdivisions and strip malls. Boy I love progress (sarcasm). I need to get out and do some exploring myself.

I know what you mean, around here it is the same way.. not so much into the country around the town, but the wonderful old buildings inside town are slowly being demolished to make way for yet another unneeded building.. it's just plain sad

Very sad. Don't know if you are fan of old bridges or not, but this site helped me find some pretty amazing places I didnt even know about!

It's called Bridgehunter and it's a database of historic or notable bridges in the United States of America.

I am! Very much so.. It's sad but most of them around here have been lost to floods over the last few years
