Thanks, thankfully no one was injured.. surprising though because they just released that it was an EF4 tornado, that is a big one!

I am so glad to hear that no one was hurt. How extensive is the property damage though?

yea we are getting pretty well hammered up here.. I guess the discovery channel storm chasers were up here and didn't understand just how wet the roads were up here and ended up getting their vehicle stuck! It was that heavy one they want to actually drive into a tornado! So they had one heck of a time getting it unstuck and rumor has it that they are facing a $15,000+ fine for going around a road closed sign!!

My sisters reply about the truck, "They got what they deserved the arrogant shitheads. No sympathy from me, it's idiots like these that I put my life on the line for." She's retired S&R btw.

LMAO!! Yeah, no sympathy... proper documentary teams don't ignore signs, they work with the local authority. At least in my little world where common sense rules.
Are you lined up to get anymore storms soon?

Yea, I watch the series they were filming for all the time, and know which one it was that got stuck, and frankly he is an arrogant ass, gets great footage but is still an ass.. and it really doesn't surprise me that he did it.. I think we are into a dry heat the next week or so, so hopefully things will dry up, although I wouldn't mind a nice lightning storm or two

We were hit by tornadoes about 3 miles from the house the other day. My most recent deviation, I was driving him INTO that shit.
Glad you made it alright. lol

I've always wanted to get a shot of a tornado, but ya know, if you can't do it reasonably safely, it's just better not to have one in your portfolio. (Sigh... It's the dad coming out in me.)

Lol, I know what you mean! I have loved tornadoes, or rather weather in general, ever since I was little.. I always want to go out and get "the shot", but I don't know enough about reading the skies to do it safely

Any shot is better than no shot! I've very well aquainted with skies like that...
