I like this perspective, but with that camera you could improve the focus on the right building for example, perhaps more exposure with the help of a tripod

i think thats just distortion from the fisheye one of the downsides of them

Very original and interesting angle and use of natural (at least in some respects) color.

ercle88 In reply to Korniko [2006-06-07 23:16:25 +0000 UTC]

thanks a lot i guess technicly its natural, as i used an infa red filter (and only slightly touched up the colours)

Another amazing photograph, I love the way the buildings seemed curved because of the lense you used. The angle is great too.

Oh, I really like the color in this. I was going to ask if you were using some attachment but I just read the other comments. I see a lot of your work has that "circular silhouette/frame", usually a good indication of an attachment I think or pinhole photography. The angle here is good. Nice crisp photo too I like your work! May have to watch you

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ercle88 In reply to JennaBlaze [2006-04-09 08:43:29 +0000 UTC]

i do acctualy have a pinhole camera, but i dont use it much as its annoying to load it, and then trial and error with the exposure. and i can only take b+w shots with it, lol. so i just stuck to using my teachers fish eye and thankyou!! means a lot you like my work!

BassDerek [2006-04-08 10:39:04 +0000 UTC]

The fisheye is nice, but im not totally diggin' the blue/IR effect. It looks washed out. There could be some contrast/exposure fiddling done here. I do like the point of view though. What lens are you using?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ercle88 In reply to BassDerek [2006-04-08 11:35:31 +0000 UTC]

This was taken with a 28mm wide angle, and a not very strong fish eye attachment. lense has no metering though, so i have to decide on the exposure settings completely from guessing >.< yeah, i already altered the contrast, and felt this was the best level as if i put it up any more the image became distorted, and either very light or very dark . i did look at the photo without the blue, but it didn't have the same effect. i guess all those things are just personal preferance and style though thankyou for the comments and tips though ill put this back in photoshop and see if i can still improve upon it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BassDerek In reply to ercle88 [2006-04-08 19:30:04 +0000 UTC]

well maybe some of the optical distortion/quality is because of using a low quality glass in the fisheye. I think its mostly a sharpness thing that it lacks abit, if I view the image at a smaller size it looks great.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ercle88 In reply to BassDerek [2006-04-09 08:33:16 +0000 UTC]

could be...the fish eye lense isnt acctualy mine, its my teachers and im borrowing it, so i dunno what quality the lense accutaly is...

hopefully ill have the money to buy my own one soon

The fish eye lense works well, i like the blue look to this image, very good shot

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ercle88 In reply to halijan [2006-04-08 02:27:05 +0000 UTC]

cheers the blue was achieved through adjusting white balance, an infa red filter, and post procesing, if your curious

bukephalas [2006-03-29 20:17:08 +0000 UTC]

that's cool! nice colours and (i think it's distortion) the perspective works well here. one thing is that it's really big for the screen size...u might want to reduce it a little.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ercle88 In reply to bukephalas [2006-03-29 21:21:31 +0000 UTC]

yeah, its an infa red filter and photoshop, and a fish eye lense. i had too many photos to resize em and thats the standard size my camera takes em. lol
